My experience with Fresh As Can Bee Catering was AMAZING! They went above, beyond, and further to make the food for my wedding so spectacular. I truly could not be any happier with the result and it was all for a very reasonable price! To start, here is a little backstory. My now-husband accepted a job across the country six month before our wedding. Because all of our family is still in or around western NC, we determined that it would be best to continue the plan of having our wedding there instead of all the way across the US. That means I had to do most of the planning from a few thousand miles away. Having no idea what I was doing and being on a pretty tight budget, I got incredibly frustrated with most of the catering options I found, all of which wanted me to spend upwards of $5,000 for 100 people. Than I came across Thumbtack. I figured I may as well give it a shot, posted my request, and Kim responded within an hour with a price that was, not only significantly lower than every other option I'd found, but low enough to be within my budget. When I responded to her email, she called me the very next day. Her prompt response and cheerful personality sealed the deal so I decided then to use her and am I glad I did because SHE IS AMAZING! She was extraordinarily understanding and accommodating, going as far as to set up a tasting based solely around the trip I made back home for my dress fitting. She was attentive, organized, and dedicated every step of the way, and continually made sure that everything was exactly the way I wanted it. She really seems to genuinely care about her brides and about doing her best to make her part in their special days to be as perfect as possible. She contacted me multiple times to verify everything from which foods, to the amounts of each food, to whether or not I had utensils and ice. Most importantly, however, is that the food was absolutely amazing. I chose heavy hors d'oeuvres for my afternoon wedding, which included stuffed mushrooms, meatballs, pimento cheese with pita wedges, brushetta, and spring rolls, among other things. She did not by any means skimp on the portions and every single thing was delicious. I did not hear a single complaint, but instead only tons of great reviews from pretty much everyone. My father took the leftover pimento cheese with him to share with his fellow plant workers, thinking it would be a good snack for a day or two and it was gone in a few hours, with his co-workers asking for Kim's name. As an added bonus, Kim works with an equally fabulous pastry chef who created for me an absolutely gorgeous cupcake tower and cutting cake. I was able to have three different cupcake flavors and she decorated the stand and the table absolutely beautifully. The cupcakes--especially her real, homemade buttercream icing--were delicious. I would recommend Fresh As Can Bee to anyone and everyone for any catering needs. Kim and Laura are wonderful to work with and the product is exemplary!
The menu, preparation, and quality were just as she said they would be. The dishes were out of this world. She delivered to my home, and refrigerated them twice a week . I just take them out and warm them up for a delicious dinner. The desserts are out of this world. I very highly recommend this Chef.
Ricky joined our weekend retreat and kept a group of thirty well fed, and I have to say I was very impressed. Not only is he an outstanding and standup guy, but he's a hard worker and an amazing chef. Ten out of ten would eat his food again!
Dinner was superb. Chef Richard Telley served dinner to my girlfriend and I for Valentines Day. He was punctual and very professional. He brought his own equipment and started cooking as soon as he arrived. He made everything that we discussed prior, 4 course dinner. All of the dishes had an excellent presentation, my girlfriend was very impressed. Thank you so much Richard for making this a wonderful night for my girlfriend and I. Highly recommend!!!!
Chef Michael presented an excellent dinner following our son's wedding in our home. Smooth process from initial planning to execution and clean-up. The guests raved about a grand array of food, both taste and presentation, and we had international foodies in attendance! We were so pleased with everything that we have engaged Chef Michael's to cater an event for a friend's upcoming wedding. Oh...must offer that the servers were warm, welcoming and...everything a host would want.
