Maranda has given me the best personal training experience I have ever had. She truly cares about her clients by being flexible and available for us anytime of the day. She customizes individual nutrition plans based on our lean body mass and holds us accountable to tracking our food. I fought her for the longest time but she never he gave up on me. I can't say enough positive things about Gus. I have worked with several different trainers before and they have all been great, but Gus takes it to another level. Not only is he very accommodating and the right balance of supportive/encouraging/taking me out of my comfort zone, but also he sends me texts to check up on my eating habits, sends me reminders, sends me words of encouragement, etc. He is of course also extremely knowledgable and works around my body's vulnerabilities and injuries without any issues, and his bright and fun loving personality makes our workouts fun and energizing. I am not someone who generally enjoys getting my heart rate up and breaking a sweat, but I always look forward to my workouts with him, which really says a lot. Thank you Gus!

Lauren Ross at freedom fitness completely transformed my view of life. I have had seven trainers (some of which are celebrity trainers) since the age of 14, and none of them are comparable to my experience with freedom fitness. Freedom fitness introduce me to a lifestyle of fitness and nutrition that I can easily manage. For the first time, I have been able to keep weight off that I lose. Lauren also spent the time to encourage me in my faith and life decisions. Her heart for people is second to none, and she always puts her client before herself. To top it off, I have personally witnessed Lauren continuously researching in the world a fitness and nutrition. She is humble enough to always be a student of her profession. Jessica is hard working, and very encouraging. She listens to her clients, and works with them, rather than just saying "do this" she explains how things work, and makes sure that her clients are comfortable with the plan she and they put together before proceeding. She makes you want to go that extra mile, and you don't even notice the time passing while working out with her.
Recommendation for personal trainer: Ron Gordon. Over the last 2 months, Ron has been a great personal trainer for the following reasons: 1). First, Ron is a great listener, and he listens carefully to both what you say *and* what your body says. He is uncommonly good in this regard. 2). Ron is very thoughtful with his approach, based on what he hears as your goals and based on how he assesses your current strengths. He is not a "one size fits all" kind of guy, but he does have a general approach to training that has worked for him over the years, which includes a heavy emphasis on form and technique to avoid injury and optimize longer-term performance. His respect for and focus on technique was particularly important to me. 3). Ron brings a lot to the table, given his extensive experience with triathlons, marathons and distance hiking. His reference base here is impressive which helps to differentiate him amongst other trainers. 4). Ron is always on time, to the dot, and he is very well organized and process driven. That said, he is paradoxically flexible if schedules, goals or times change. Overall, if you have exercise and/or physical goals you'd like to accomplish, Ron is a great guy to help you get there and you should at least give him a try. Alex
