Adam B. says, "I started taking lessons with Dennis several years ago. At my first lesson, one of the first things he asked me was, “What do you want to be able to do with a guitar?” I said, “I want to be able to write songs and play them with a band. It took about a year to put the band together, and now we've been going strong for 4 years! We've recorded an album and I wrote most of the songs. We play shows and I get to play and sing my own songs. It is one of the funnest things I get to do in life. And its taken a lot of work. Dennis has helped me become a better guitarist and a better songwriter. It means a lot to me that he pushed me to get this far! One thing that happens to me when I take lessons is I have very specific things to practice. That really helps me along. When I don’t have lessons, I play a lot of guitar, but I don’t know how much it moves me forward. But when I have specific things to work on week to week, you can just feel yourself getting better. I've had a lot of lessons with several other teachers and none of them move me forward as much as Dennis, and it's because of how seriously he takes teaching and learning, not just playing."See more
