My husband and I had an all in one wedding at a beautiful estate in Gallatin tn. .... GO DJ did an absolutely excellent job. Martell was very personable, efficient, timely, musically tasteful and kept the party going. Both we and our guests loved him and had a blast!! One of my guests said " this is one of the best weddings I've ever been to" I highly recommend using DJ Martell and I am looking forward to using his services in the future. Thanks Martell Haynes family

Rose is very professional and organized since the beginning of our engagement. She does her research before the venue of choice for the engagement session and the wedding venue. She takes EVERY DETAIL into consideration and will ask you if you have a back up plan just in case. She will ask about your likes/dislikes and encourages the couple to inform of any special requests or ideas of pictures they would like done. My husband and I are big shoe lovers and she gladly took pictures at our request and made sure we were satisfied during and after the shoot. She's very creative and will ask you if you don't mind getting dirty for some great shots and she doesn't mind getting dirty either. She also did a boudoir shoot as a surprise for my spouse in the comfort of my own home. She made feel completely comfortable and was VERY professional the entire time. That shoot turned out great and my husband LOVED it! She will have you fill out paperwork and ask what pictures are most important to the couple and also gives an option to list any special requests - my father has passed away and I had a memory table of pictures of him and I. On my wedding day, Rose was on time and took pictures of EVERYTHING. When she wasn't inside, she was outside taking pictures from the beginning to the end of my special day. She definitely wasn't sitting down or wasting time. She got every aspect of our wedding and our photos look great!! She was great to work with and a true blessing! I highly recommend her!

Sabrina was our photographer for our recent wedding in Nashville. She arrived on time, was personable, professional and took initiative in taking pics right away. Our wedding started a bit late and she adjusted her time to accommodate us. We're still waiting to see the final edited pictures, but the preview we got looks like she got some great shots.

I hired Sarah for my wedding because of her diligence in communicating with me when I was looking for a photographer. So, when we met it was not hard at all in telling her what we wanted. Hiring a professional photographer for the first time became so easy since she made us both comfortable. We did not require much because ours was a very intimate affair; my husband's family, our minister, and a friend. So, I was very specific that I wanted everyone to be in the pictures. Most importantly, I wanted her to capture the mood and she did exactly that. The smiles on everyone's faces make me look at the pictures again and again. And she was on time in posting the pictures too! I will hire her again for any future projects.

Jason DJ'd my wedding at the War Memorial Plaza in downtown Nashville, TN. I planned my whole wedding from out of town, so it was just a relief to have a DJ that was experienced and reliable. Jason was always quick to respond to my emails and questions (there were many) and willing to make suggestions when needed! I added the photo booth and it was a HIT at my wedding! He was early to my wedding to make sure everything was set up in time. The lighting and spotlights he provided made for such a fun and inviting atmosphere at my outdoor wedding. Thanks so much Jason for making my wedding so much fun!

Sharie has always done great work, from covering rock bands to sporting events to taking wedding pictures (like mine). I have worked with her on several events and she always knows where she has to be for the right shot. She is also very good with the written word in any type of story. She has always come highly recommended, count me as a fan.

Michael did a photo booth for my wedding reception and it was a huge hit with all of the guests. A tv was connected to the camera which acted as a display of the pictures being taken. The whole set up was real easy to use (even for the less tech savvy guests). I would recommend a Michael brooks photo booth to anyone planning a big party, he was both professional and got all the pictures to me quickly! Most of my favorite pictures and memories from the wedding came from his photo booth. Hire him to set one up for you!

Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

How much does it cost for a photographer for a wedding?

Finding the right wedding photographer can make a big difference for your ceremony. Nationally, the average wedding photographer’s price ranges from $800 to $1,000, but costs can be much higher in areas like Chicago, New York or Los Angeles where some couples spend $2,000 to $5,000 or more for the photographer they want. Factors that can affect your wedding photographer prices include the photographer’s reputation and experience. Heavy hitters can command top rates, especially during wedding-season weekends. Day of the week also affects your cost. You may get a $200 discount on wedding photographer prices if you get married on a Friday in November rather than a Saturday in June. Time onsite is also an important cost factor. Hiring a photographer to snap photos from the moment you wake up until after last call at the reception is going to cost more than five hours of pictures during the day. Multiple photographers, special lighting, and videography will also increase your costs. Ultimately you want to find someone who has a style you love and can provide the number of edited shots you want for a price you can handle. Learn more about hiring a wedding photographer.
