This will be an excellent review. I found Jeff on Thumbtack back in June while my wife and I were house-shopping. Our home inspector recommended having an HVAC pro check out the HVAC system. I put in requests on Thumbtack, and Jeff was one of the first to respond. His answer was real, not just a brush-off. When I talked to him and told him what was going on, he jumped on it and went to the house to take a look. Didn't even make me meet him there, just took it upon himself to check it out and even take photos and send them to me, showing me what he found! He wrote up an estimate, which we were then able to use--supported by the photos--during the negotiation for our house. I offered to pay him for that visit, and all he asked was a nice word posted online. He didn't even care if I used his services or not, he just wanted me to have good information. Next, we bought the house. It came with a home warranty, and we were not sure if the warranty provider would let us use Jeff. We went back and forth with the warranty people for a while, and they would only use their contractors. However, Jeff stayed in touch with us throughout and answered our questions and helped clarify what other contractors were telling us. This took almost 4 months. I felt like I really had a friend in the HVAC business, like I could call and he would answer or call me back. So after the months of haggling with the warranty place, they ultimately decided they would not cover the HVAC. And actually I am glad they did not, because the technician they sent to check out the unit was not so into his job. We were going to just heat with kerosene this winter and get a new unit in the spring. But after a couple cold nights (that weren't even that cold), we called Jeff. He always answers when he can, and this was like 7 or 8pm. We explained what happened, and he was more than happy to help us out. He came again to the house because we wanted an opinion on the condition of the ductwork. He takes the time to explain things and is just generally a helpful guy. So I think this was Thursday night that we called him. Today is Monday, and our new HVAC is installed. Both he and the gentleman who came with him were nice guys, fun to hang out with and didn't mind me asking questions during the install. He also warranted his labor for 2 years, and his prices are very competetive. We had quotes from a major local company that were more than double what he told us. I'm sure they would have done a fine job, but with Jeff I felt like he cared about us and is still excited about doing a good job. He recommended a company he used for financing, and they also did a great and fast job. Pain-free, hassle-free. This was the experience I had with Jeff Beck and if I ever need anything else heated or cooled I will be calling him.

Great people to work with that do what they say and do the job right at a great price !
This man does it all! We originally inquired about a backsplash needing to be done. When Andrew arrived he asked us of we were pleased with all the medley of work and worker who had come in and done previous work on our whole-home renovation. We promptly explained the horror stories that had come before him; People stealing money and walking off the job, smoking in our home with a newborn here, leaving the gate open and letting our dog loose, doing such a bad job on crown that it all needed to re-done, etc? Andrew worked with us and fairly priced out all of the additional work we needed done. He has done an entry way tile from scratch, re-worked electric placements and wiring, fixed trim and crown and made it look it was never half done, created floating shelves, created a kitchen island, made a backsplash that makes our kitchen looks like something out of a Belle Meade mansion... And all the while, he has been respectful of our newborn baby with noise and debris. He has never once been late. He communicated every time before he arrived just to touch base and let us know he was on his way. Andrew feels as much like family as he does a skilled craftsman. His work is the best I've seen and we fully plan to let him finish off the remaining projects on this home. Andrew is the way to go.
Mr. Watson showed up when he said he would. He worked around all the rain that made it hard to complete the painting project, but they stuck with it. His price was very fair and now my house looks better than all the houses in my neighborhood. He had several people stop and ask for quotes on their homes and I am sure he will have more jobs in the future because of the great work he did on my home.
Very rare to find an honest great handyman these days! Jason was excellent, he was prompt and very reasonable in his labor costs. Would recommend using Jason! 10/10 Replaced a bedroom door and painted.
I had a broken door and everybody suggested to install a new door which cost a lot of money for new door plus labor but Morgan Cryar fixed it and made it looks like new for very affordable price. I really appreciate his great job.
Jonathan came in to build a fence and tear down/expand our deck. The quote he gave us was outstanding. We did add in a few items, such as staining the deck and then, after the first day, adding in a drainage system. There were a few hiccups in the project, such as the stain acting more like paint. Jonathan had to sand down all the boards, get new stain (a different brand) and restain everything! We also had a week of rain, two days lost due to drilling into limestone, etc. He addressed every single concern we had. We needed a gate at the top of our deck stairs due to us having a 15 month old son. He showed me how the handles of the fence gates lock, because my son figured out how to open them within an hour of being outside! The deck has been planed down and is so smooth that you can walk out there without shoes, not worrying about any splinters! Jonathan really customized everything to make sure that not only we were happy, but our son was safe. I was also very impressed how he and his workers looked after our son, would talk with him, and not be put off when he was walking around, showing interest (not that he was out there a lot!). They explained to him what the tools did, and Jonathan even showed him how to dig in our gravel with a trowel. The hardest part was the length of the project. I've been told that when you have construction projects, to expect them to take twice as long and cost twice as much. We did have to shell out just a little more. Part of it was our fault due to the drainage we asked them to add under the deck. The other part was the two days of labor lost thanks to the limestone. Jonathan had to come in with rebar and resupport everything. The project did end up taking twice as long, due to a lot of the unforeseen circumstances. And I'm not counting the week of rain where very little was able to be done at all! Overall, I would highly recommend Jonathan to anyone needing work done. We could not have asked for a better job to be done! And we would definitely consider using him again with our next home improvement project!
Jim did an excellent job! He is fair on price, work was done quickly and right. He went above and beyond, I have found my new handyman!
In an age of hiring crews of cheap labor, where "good enough" is just that, it's refreshing to find someone who is a true craftsman. Paul is what others here have stated, hard working, skilled and lightning fast. He is also someone who can not only hang the store bought cabinets but can build the cabinets from scratch. I am well pleased with the work he has done and highly recommend his services.
Jonathan couldn't have done a better job. Quoted me a great price, and left it in better condition than the plumbing was in before. I would highly recommend him for any job you might have, big or small.
I hired Ethan with Indigo painting to do interior painting on our 2500 sq. ft. house. I chose quite a few bold colors that, had the job not been done right, would have looked terrible. Ethan worked his butt off from early morning to late at night, to get the house finished before our move-in date. Even though it only took him 2.5 days (!!) to finish the job, it looks gorgeous. He's a true professional. He picked up the paint for me so I didn't have to, as well. For all this (3 bedrooms, living room, kitchen, dining room, sitting room, upstairs and downstairs hallways, as well as a stairwell with very high ceilings) he only charged $1600.00 in labor. He saved us a TON of work and time, not to mention stress. Don't hesitate to hire this guy, he's amazing!
I do general labor; carpet cleaning; floor cleaning; furniture moving, pickup and/or delivery; and general property maintenance.
We do demolition, plumbing, remodeling, roofing, and handyman. If it needs fixing, we can fix it. If it is not broken, don't fix it. We do our work in a professional manner and make sure the job is done right the first time. We take pride in our work and show great work.

Everything starts with, "What needs to be done?" We assess the problems. I include consultation, tools, labor, and gas for travel. Any materials are extra. I am the answer for small to medium builds. There's not a house repair, I haven't fixed yet. I have nine years of experience. And tend to leave customers smiling at end results. "Reserve your spot today, so I can fix it tomorrow."
We started primarily as a moving provider. After many inquiries of other tasks by customers following their move, we decided to open up our services a bit. Our prices are very competitive in all cases and often just downright low in comparison. We are a very small operation with at most four people, so we are able to provide the same services for less! In most cases, we charge the following: - $60 per person for 3 hr of labor ($20/hr for 1-3 hr) - $15/hr every following hr Hauling may differ. With our vast amount of experience in several areas, a list of what we offer would be long and boring, so we consider ourselves primarily a labor services. If it takes a little know-how mixed with sweat to do it, chances are we can! We are also honest people and will be honest on our capabilities. Thank you for your consideration, and we look forward to working for you! Mountain Movers
