Ms. Lewis assisted me with editing and revamping my resume and cover letter. She made some smart and thoughtful changes in terms of editing the content, spell-checking, proofing for grammatical errors and consistency in the structure and design of the documents. She was efficient, got back to me quickly, was extremely cost-effective, and gave me a lot of confidence in my work product. I would definitely use her services again.
Christy is an excellent writer who can quickly grasp the scope of a project and then turn it around in a snap! She's a clear communicator, professional, and a pleasure to work with. I'd recommend Nunez Composition Services services to anyone!
Mark is an excellent writer and very easy to work with. He's always delivered on time and his writing speaks for itself. I would highly recommed him.
I am an editor who has worked with JuLee Brand many times and with the designs she created. I have observed her in development meetings and worked closely with her in implementing her work. JuLee listens to requests from clients and delivers beyond what they have been able to visualize. Her design pieces are both creative and functional, well thought out, and serve to enhance and integrate with the other elements. JuLee is a strong communicator. She brings many years of creativity to the table and always exceeds her previous work. Her passion for design is infectious. Having her on a project insures highly creative design work that perfectly complements the project and is delivered on time. To me, JuLee is the perfect package. She is strongly creative, easy to communicate with, sets the tone for the creative exchange of ideas, understands the needs of clients often more than they do. Working with JuLee Brand is a total joy.
I worked with Ellen on a very large website for a prominent national franchise. She was the lead writer and editor for the project, and I was a contributing writer. I was continually in awe of Ellen's skills and talents. Not only is she an eagle-eyed editor, she's a great writer. Elleb has the ability to bring dry business stories to life, and she always finds a way to creatively approach a story. As a result of her mentorship, I'm rarely intimidated by large website writing projects. She taught me the right way to approach them!
Marc is a pro writer. He does this writing thing right. He manages to address assignments conversationally, comfortably and in a totally readable way (as a part-time editor, I see a lot of other writers who don't always write for the reader first—but Marc gets it). He's not afraid of a bit of humor, a little attitude, even (dare we use the term) snark—but always appropriately and within the context and confines of the publication, the demographic and the subject matter. I have invited him to write for publications/projects that I oversee, and that should tell you that I trust him to come through in the style and manner I need. You should too.
Melissa is a great editor. Very thorough. Very punctual. I've used her for several years and continue to recommend her services to others.
Under-promise. Over-deliver. These are the words that Michelle Brinson lives by. I've worked through various contract projects with Michelle for over a year and have seen her consistently meet and exceed expectations, staying faithful to deadlines and her commitments. Not to mention, she is a joyful and gracious person to work with. Her creativity coupled with a strong business sense give her an edge that few in her line of work have. She is a gift to any employer and collaborator.
In 2008 I sought help in untangling all of the confusing options facing me when I first started thinking about writing a self published book. Nelda stepped in and took over the research into many of the most difficult decisions I had to make. Not only that, she also performed at a high level as proof reader, editor, and in one or two instances actually writing the text of very short sections that I, as the author, struggled with. Her skill and professional bearing made it possible for the book to be marketed successfully. Gary H. Baker, author of Rookie Truck Driver
To those looking for a great videographer, I had an idea for a promotional trailer for my new appbut that is all I had, just an idea. Fortunately, I found John Fisher, and he was able to take my idea and turn it into a creative video. I didnt know how the whole process worked, and was amazed at the script he wrote, the scenarioit was perfect. We found some volunteer actors and John was so good with them, he made them feel like stars. He educated me on how these promotional films and scripts work, and I am more comfortable with the whole process, from idea, to cost to creation. I hope to do more in the future and am confident that John is the artist I want to go with. Shelly Marshall, Day-By-Day.org
Fabulous experience using Mary Carlisle as my content editor! From her timely feedback, to thourough editing, and availability through email and phone, the experience was fantastic. Mary was very honest with me in her feedback with suggestions as well as informing me concerning correct trademarking and resourcing. she offered other suggestions for the title of my book and her pricing fee was very reasonable.

With a degree in Songwriting from Belmont University, I have a unique command not only over the mechanics of English grammar, spelling, punctuation and vocabulary, but also a poetic understanding of tone, nuance, emotion, and metaphor. In addition to offering basic proofreading and editing services, I can provide creative feedback and suggestions regarding the way your writing will be perceived by various types of readers, should your project call for it.
I am an award-winning former newspaper journalist, internationally published poet and professor with experience in writing, editing, publishing and website/social media management. In additional to my work experience, I am highly educated. I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in English (emphasis in creative writing), a Master of Arts degree in corporate communication, and Master of Fine Arts degree in creative writing (emphasis in poetry).
I have a college degree in English-Writing, therefore, I have much experience editing. You may get someone who can edit your work fine, but are they educated in that specific area? While earning my degree, I had to constantly write and edit every day whether that be with essays, short stories, articles, poems, etc. I know what I'm doing because I earned it.
As filmmakers, directors and/or editors, who make a living doing the "smaller things", as I call them - meaning any production that is not a feature film or something out of Hollywood, but our day to day (or week to week) productions in our businesses that make our living - we tend to hold a belief that knowing an editing bay like the back of our hand is what makes us the most skilled. And knowing the technicalities of making anything in motion pictures is not to be undermined at all (understanding those technicalities are very important to anything worth its salt), but what I've come to learn as for what captivates people the most is something people - out of pure human nature - can relate to; and if it sounds cliche, it's not, but I am speaking of the "story". The "technicalities" enable to us to enhance that story to an adrenaline rush-experience to the degree that the viewers simply cannot ever forget what they saw that they would have been somewhat tied to anyway. Our calling as filmmakers is to make that the most memorable experience possible.
