A piece of my heart goes into each event we provide food for. Whether it is a cocktail reception, full dinner, children's party or any other event, I want each person to be completely satisfied with the food they chose for Tasty Temptations to prepare as well as the service provided. We work with local vendors, farmers, and ranchers to get the freshest ingredients and am able to customize any menu to suit the taste of the individuals. Working directly with people, having face to face contact with clients is very important to us. Understanding what the need in my clients life is, and being able to fulfill it, is a nice way to spend the day. Even though we are working, we get to attend the best parties around! It is a pleasure associating with people that are enjoying themselves. Meeting wonderful people is definitely a highlight.(show more)

About I specialize in catering small events from buffet to individual plating. You can take the stress out of your event with help from Savor Chef. I will help you develop a menu for your event. There are so many cuisines to choose from! Among my clients' favorites are Italian, Asian-Fusion, Southern Comfort, Caribbean, and Mediterranean. This includes menus for vegetarians. I also feature a Small Plates Service, a tribute to the traditions of Spanish Tapas and Basque Pinchos, but expanding beyond those two traditions to include Bites influenced by among others, Southern, American Comfort Food, Asian, Mediterranean and Latin traditions. I also provide cooking classes, specializing in every area from knife skills, to the creation of soups and sauces, to roasting and braising, how to cook clean and healthy, and how to spring board recipes into several different meals. It is especially helpful for today's busy people. Sessions are held in the client's home so that we can utilize the tools that are available and so that the client will be in comfortable, familiar surroundings. Food has always been important in my life. From cooking for my family to working with catering services in San Francisco and here in Austin. Dickey's Barbecue Pit is a true American success story. In 1941, Travis Dickey, a World War I veteran, opened the first Dickey's Barbecue Pit in Dallas, Texas. Dickey was a true Texas character blessed with the gift of gab and the love of authentic, slow-smoked barbecue. In the beginning, Dickey’s Barbecue Pit was truly a family operation with Travis working the block and Miss Ollie Dickey serving sandwiches. Space on the restaurant sign was rented out to help pay the start-up costs for the restaurant and the menu was limited to beef brisket, pit hams, barbecue beans, potato chips, beer, bottled milk and sodas. Brothers Roland and T.D. Dickey took over the business in 1967, continuing their father’s legacy of quality, hickory smoked signature meats. Under the direction of the Dickey brothers, Dickey’s Barbecue Pit expanded throughout the Dallas Fort Worth area and quickly became known throughout Texas for mouthwatering hickory-smoked barbecue, popular catered events and the iconic Big Yellow Cups. Franchising began in 1994 after loyal guests and barbecue fanatics demanded more locations. Today with over 530 locations in 43 states, loyal guests are what keep Dickey’s thriving in every community. The brand has come a long way from Travis Dickey’s first location. But, some things never change. Dickey’s Barbecue Pit still slow smokes all meats on-site just the same way they did in 1941. The menu features beef brisket, pulled pork, St. Louis style ribs, polish sausage, spicy cheddar sausage, smoked turkey, and marinated chicken, with an extensive array of homestyle sides from jalapeño beans to macaroni and cheese.
