I have enrolled my 6 year old for violin lessons with Dolce Studio. Two Lessons and my son has taken a liking to the instrument and the teacher Ms.Emily is so encouraging & supportive. She knows how to draw out my son who can be very reluctant to try in the face of a difficult task. Thanks to the wonderful Brenda Bedell for all the initial ground work in setting up the violin teacher for us! Highly recommend the studio for music lessons.

My previous drum teacher moved and I found myself in the unfortunate position of looking for someone new. For me it's difficult as I'm looking for someone that can teach me the way I need to learn. I don't respond well to the old-fashioned rudiments on a practice pad routine, so I really dreaded this process. I'm also looking for someone that has a feel for the drummers I admire so they can better understand how my thought process works. For me, finding the right teacher is more than just someone that's a proficient player and can explain the lesson. It's really a relationship...the right teacher can understand where you're coming from and be able to help you achieve your goals, understand your strengths and weaknesses and connect with you in musical way. I probably read through the profile of every drum teacher in Austin, but after receiving a message from Pedro on Thumbtack, I checked out his website and I could tell somehow he was different than the other teachers I'd researched. After my first hour lesson today, I know I'm going to learn more from him than anyone I've worked with before. Pedro has a really great way about him and is genuinely interested in making you a better player. In my introductory lesson, he walked me through something I thought would take some time to get worked out but he had me playing it by the end of the hour. He's also encouraging me to work on some form issues by way of explaining why it's important and why it will make me a better player. I can really embrace logic like that as a lot of teachers will only tell you to do something this way or that way...Pedro will walk you through the process and how it can and will improve your playing. I'm probably not his typical student, but I get the feeling he teaches a fair amount of adults like me, as well as beginners of all ages. I really fought taking lesson for a long time, but if I'd found Pedro years ago, I know I would be an infinitely better player at this point in my life. If you're looking for an enthusiastic, down to earth teacher that will teach in the way you need to learn, Pedro is your guy. Already looking forward to my next lesson!

Michael is a fantastic teacher with a great sense of humor and an almost encyclopedic knowledge of songs and drum beats. His enthusiasm and love of drumming of all kinds is contagious. I have been taking lessons with him as an adult beginner (I recommend drumming for a midlife crisis activity!) and not only am I demonstrably getting better, I look forward to my lessons. Michael will tailor concepts to where you are at and teaches skills through music you like. I can now play some Nirvana and Fleetwood Mac and not embarrass myself! His studio is within a welcoming, comfortable rehearsal space (Cascade Studios) and I’ve enjoyed meeting other students and bands practicing there as well.

David has taught our rambunctious group of kids music lessons for over 3 years. He is very talented, good with kids, flexible, enthusiastic, and a good communicator. I have recommended him to many friends. The community music performances he puts on are a total bonus. He really cares about the musical development of our kids.

We had Matt as a teacher for three years, for our children. He was so talented and such a blessing. I am quit convinced that Matt would be able to successfully take on any challenge he is given.

Eric is a fabulous instructor. I stepped in as an adult with no experience and left with skills after the first session. He has a broad background and is able to shift methods and approaches to match learning speed. I just loved it. Thank you!!

Terry is a very kind, polite and professional musician. He arranged to come and meet my son for a lesson. I appreciated his candor and professionalism in letting us know that he would not be able to meet my son's particular lesson needs.

I've worked with Ed on and off over the last few years. As a player, he is a total pro, able to deliver at a high level across many styles. What I really love about playing with Ed is that he is also a great person - always a positive attitude, punctual and prepared. Ed is my first call when I need a drummer, for both live and studio work. He has also given some drum lessons to my son, providing not just style and technique, but also some great philosophy and guidance about music in general.

I am a certified teacher to tutor science or math; guitar, bass, or drums; or pool/billiards or tennis any day of the week.

A friend of mine referred me to Ross for drum lessons for my 13 year old son about a year ago and we have never looked back! My son has some challenging behaviors and takes longer than typical kids to learn new things but he is totally rocking out with Ross. Ross is more than just a music teacher, his passion for music and its benefits is obvious as well as his patience and understanding. He has a natural ability to relate to the needs of each student and teach at their level while pushing them forward at the right pace. My son loves learning drums and I love watching his confidence grow. I’m just thankful that we found Ross…Also, his student showcases are a blast!
