MY METHOD OF SPEECH TRAINING My method is based on sound-by-sound speech retraining. First, I evaluate how the student currently produces American sounds, rhythm, stress, and intonation. Then I identify the specific pronunciation patterns that are affecting clarity. Instead of asking students to simply repeat after me, I teach them how American sounds are physically produced. We work with tongue position, lip movement, jaw opening, airflow, voice placement, rhythm, stress, and connected speech. I use phonetic exercises, sentence practice, paragraph reading, and guided speaking drills to help students move from individual sounds into natural communication. Students learn how to hear their own pronunciation patterns, correct them, and build stronger American speech habits over time. I also use 2D Sound Motion Technology as a sound training simulator. This helps students see and train how the speech organs move for specific American sounds. The goal is not only to understand pronunciation, but to build a new speaking habit that feels more natural, clear, and confident. HOW TO ENROLL Book a 1-hour orientation and sample class. No PRO LIKES HIM ON THIS PLATFORM! I want to express my amazement after my first class with Prof. Alex, which was the onboarding orientation session I attended recently. I am very impressed with what he can do in class and how he works! The program is very professional and well-organized. It is structured so that you learn how to actually pronounce—many schools focus on teaching grammar and vocabulary but completely forget the third component that exists in our native languages, which is phonology, phonetics, or pronunciation—whatever you want to call it. Prof. Alex is that guy who handles this component so professionally that you succeed in each session with him! I’ve tried multiple phonetic exercises, and I immediately succeeded with them. Though this doesn’t mean I can speak like this right away, learning how to correctly articulate American English sounds improves overall speech! Prof. Alex has many advanced tools that make the process go very fast, and I am grateful for that— no one pros on this Thumbtack offers such opportunities. They offer you to read the text and follow them - but prof. Alex goes way further then that! You gotta try yourself! It’s very unique and special, and prof. Alex is a truly exceptional professional. It was very important for me to work with a true professional, and Alex having a PhD in linguistics and language education made my decision immediate. I scheduled a consultation without hesitation. The $90 was absolutely worth it to understand the deeper background of linguistics. I had never realized that this type of teaching even existed. Coming from a traditional school system, I learned English mainly through vocabulary and grammar. I just finished the orientation session with a sample class, and it was really great! This scientific approach works very well for me. I can finally understand each detail I need to improve my pronunciation and American accent. Before this, I never knew exactly what I was doing wrong. Prof. Alex explains everything very clearly. I have never met a coach who is so innovative. His 2D sound simulators show exactly how to use the mouth and tongue to create American sounds. This was very helpful for me. During the sample class, I was able to change my American “T” sound immediately, which surprised me a lot! Prof. Alex has a lot experience and his program has a lot of exercises to practice which is excellent. I really believe this program, with Prof. Alex’s feedback, will help me improve my speaking at an advanced level. I am very excited to start all the sessions with him. Also, I think $160 per session is a very good investment for such an advanced and effective program, especially with the app and 2D technology. I highly recommend the orientation session because Prof. Alex is honest about what is possible and what is not. He is a very skilled linguist with a PhD and more than 20 years of experience, and that is exactly what I was looking for. Prof. Alex is not only an super professional at teaching and changing accents and improving speech of others including mine, but he is also a kind, smart, and interesting persona to learn from. He DOES CARE and that sets him apart from all coaches who juts need your money! I feel so special working with him for almost 5 months! He is consistently tracking my progress even outside the class. He tales his time to evaluate my audio assignments that i am sending him to whatsapp, communicates with me what to focus if i got off. It costs way more than $160. I think this approach makes me succeed in my accent! I highly recommend to hire such a brilliant pro as prof. Alex , and you will make a lot of progress on your English speak or accent reduction! He is the best at training and re-training speech and he has all advanced tools that nobody has to succeed! I am so thankful, prof. Alex that you accepted me as your student!
