I came to Michael for bass guitar lessons and got so much more than the "basics". He is incredibly knowledgeable and genuinely cares about what his students are creating. I highly recommend Lakewood Guitar Studio!

I contacted several competitors prior & they would take long to reply. Zera was not. They responded quickly, politely, & set things up very easily. No back & forth. They have a good interactive site. You can pay online. Very easy people to work with. As far as the lessons, my son is liking it, he looks forward to his lessons every week. I cant ask for more. He is learning bass guitar with Jordan.

Really very excited to have found Cool Cats right in my own backyard! I had my first bass lesson with Robert and it was awesome! I finally feel like I'm going to learn to play correctly and it was a lot of fun. He's very patient and took some time to know what my goals are. Communication with Chad was great - a couple of emails back and forth through Thumbtack and I was all set up for my first lesson. Prices are very reasonable, lesson times are very accommodating, perfect place to learn to play an instrument or create some art.

Zach taught me bass guitar for almost two years and it went extremely well. The lessons I received from him were fast paste whether it was jazz or funk the music I learned was new and awesome to me. We covered some very fundamental rules and jazz standards that helped take me to the next step. Seems like Zach knows a lot about what he's doing.

Andra is a dear friend of mine. She is incredibly talented, easy to relate to, and she has a wonderful presence about her. She has helped me with learning how to better express myself through music and has taught me a thing or two on the bass guitar. I would highly recommend her as a teacher!

I took lessons while in college with Travis for a few weeks and in that time he threw so much information at me so fast ranging from hand positions, warm-ups and downs, and theory; but it was so well portioned that nothing felt overwhelming. After those few weeks of lessons and working out the kinks, I went from fumbling around to keeping up with an established band. The only thing I would have done differently would have been to start taking lessons with him sooner. He is an excellent teacher and has an air about him that just elicits comfort and learning.

For adults: My way of teaching depends on your way of learning. For the first class, we sit down and talk about your goals, strengths, and weaknesses; by having that information, we can then begin with our lessons. For kids: The focus on each lesson is to build talent, show them the fun of and the importance of the instrument. We may use different software and/or games on different lessons to enhance the teaching.
