- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Here on Thumbtack is different then other ways. Thumbtack sends out and writes generic quotes for specific Home Inspection. Doesn't include if its a slab are Pier & Beam, Does it have a Pool, Septic Termite, Lead test. I have to share that after they look at initial quote. I ask those questions. I tell them my usual times but I will do my best to work with them on times. I tell them if all possible You can walk with me during inspection and ask questions. I will share plenty of Knowledge to customers. The second best process come to near the end. I will share all issues on what I inspected. I will tell them what out of code because of age of house. I share some issues that comes up on every house. I let them know what professionals they need to further investigate important issues. I share a ball park figure on each item to fix. I let them know serious issues to make sure they addressed. I let them know contractors that I recommend to address for them. Let them know their Realtor from different cities has a list of qualified contractors. I tell them if they cant make it When I send report They are welcome to go over report with me. They can pay by credit card if not able to make it. I tell them I am sending inspection agreement and need them to sign and send it back to me.
