FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Depending on what the client is looking for I like to either meet with them at their residence or if it's going to be a shorter project (like we're just picking paint colors) I like to have a phone interview first. Picking a designer is a very personal experience and I like to have a meeting or a conversation to make sure that personalities mesh and that everyone is on the same page before the client starts spending money. If this is a larger project we will meet at your residence first and then I will prepare a proposal for you to review. If you accept the terms then a retainer will be due for 50% of the initial design fee. If this is a one time meeting then the full payment will be due at the end of our meeting in either cash or credit/debit card.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I attended the Academy of Art University in San Francisco where I got my Bachelor's in Fine Arts. I majored in Fashion Design with a specialization in Knitwear. I have a deep understanding in the different time periods and styles which I enjoy expressing in the refurbishment of furniture and textiles.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have excellent vision when it comes to color and am able to see the true tones. When I was in college people began hiring me to pick paint colors for their houses. It eventually grew to decorating one room then their entire homes.
