I lost 20 lbs in 2 months following Warrens plan and working out with him 3 days a week. It has given me so much more confidence to be able to go to the gym by myself and he has truly prepared me for a healthier lifestyle. If you are not sure a personal trainer is for you, give Warren a call, it is well worth it.

Chris is very professional and very friendly. He is thorough in his knowledge. I could not continue with him for long as they recently moved and the new place is very far from my home. However, anyone looking for personal trainer, I recommend Chris.

My trainer is always on time and she works me intelligently. I describe her that way because I am a recovering paraplegic and probably do not fit a "normal" description when it comes to exercise. Also she keeps the workouts interesting, never the same boring routine over and over. My diet has taken a large change due to dietary monitoring and coaching. With the combination of trainer and dietitian I lost 15 pounds in three months. I can easily say I am getting what I paid for.

Janelle has been the best personal trainer I have ever had to date. I was a college athlete and in and out of gyms my entire life and I have never had as good of an experience or as good of results as I have had with Janelle. She is attentive to you and your needs. She is always finding ways to create fun and interesting workouts that you know will get you results. She is very knowledgeable on all things fitness and helps you in anyway that she can to help you reach your fitness goals.

When I started my search for a personal trainer, I did not know where to start. I knew I would likely need the person to meet me at my office gym because I work many hours. Also, knowing myself and my likelihood of continuing a workout routine and sticking to it decreases for each pause point (getting out of the office, driving out of the office garage to a gym, etc) that is baked into the process of getting to in an effective day's workout. I found Gigi on Thumbtack, reviewed her website, and made contact. Her response time was fantastic. We setup a time to discuss what I was looking for by phone. During the convo by phone, she recommended us meeting face-to-face (no pressure and no charge for either the call or the f-t-f meeting). Upon meeting her, I was impressed with her punctuality, communicating abilities (text, ability to use GPS for address locations, asking the questions I would expect when starting a workout routine, etc), her attentiveness to my answers to questions, and a no-pressure approach to discussing my training needs. I decided to try personal gym training for the first time and bought a package of sessions. I have now finished one package of sessions and feel stronger and have noticed more definition in my body tone. If you are considering personal training, be honest with yourself about: 1) how hard you push yourself when you work out alone. I know without a doubt that I would probably given about 50% (at best) of the push during my workout that I gave when working with Gigi. 2) the likelihood of actually getting to the location to workout (there are always more appealing options that we all rationalize our excuses away when deciding to blow off our solo attempts to go to the gym--friends meeting for dinner, family obligations, errands, and the list is endless) when going solo to the gym 3) the time (even a couple of hours a week) and the money you put into your workout really is for YOU, your health (physical and mental), and your life. I recommend Gigi for your training needs. She always has a variety of workouts (and even brings many different tools with her to add variety to the workout), takes notes of the workouts completed each visit, and strikes the right balance of push with a careful eye on your actual capacity as to not push into unhealthy territory for your body and physical level--this point is important because there are so many people with different capacities, different ages, needs, etc. Reach out to her, contact her, you will not be disappointed. Take a step for YOU and your health.

She was very humble & listened intently to the issues going on in my life. She identified not only the biggest problem I was experiencing, & how to resolve it, she also told me quite a few little things I can do everyday that will help me feel better/calmer, increase my overall health, energy, & stamina. I highly recommend going to her for everything from just looking to relax to helping identify issues that medical doctors or psychiatrists may have missed completely. I will continue to seek her guidance while I'm going thru this huge transition in my life!

Tammy is a great personal trainer. She really knows her stuff. She is always pleasant, but not afraid to call you out and challenge you. She is always looking out for her clients when they are in the gym even if she is not personally training them. I'm definitely a lifer at this great gym as long as Tammy is around.

I've worked with Gamell in the past. He was my personal trainer for over a year. He set up a program specifically for me and customized it as we went along whether it was harder workouts if I peaked or more accommodating workouts if I was too sore to prevent injury. In his program I lost weight, gained muscle, toned up, and increased my stamina and endurance, and I felt much more confident in my skin. My set up had each workout different so I never got bored or accustomed to the workout. Gamell is good about tailoring the workouts to the individual's skill level. So if you are getting started or if you are looking to improve your form or have a goal in mind, Gamell can definitely help get you there.

Clean and Sanitary are understatements! Ryan Hobbs would never qualify for Kitchen Nightmares nor Restaurant Impossible. (He is too clean, and delivers quality products too customers) I would trust him and recommend him to anyone in need of a professional, honest and educated Chef! I have seen his work and dedication to his customers, and he puts himself into every event whole heartily. If you want a caterer too care as much about your event as you do, then hire Ryan Hobbs. He only puts sauces on the back burner, not his customers and clients. Which is more than most can say about caterers, personal chefs and event planners.

    About

Through my cooking experiences, I have catered to medium to large groups while offering personal cooking experiences as well. While my specialty lies in authentic Mexican food while adding a new twist, I also offer a large array of styles and dishes. I can cater to special request and allergies. In my past experiences, I have cooked for groups at the Colorado Outdoor Education Center and have cooked at Rowlett's second-rated restaurant, Opa. While cooking, I have a large array of recipes both traditional and those with an added twist, but I also believe in putting things together with what's in front of me depending on my vast taste palette and knowledge of what foods go together and what ties in with certain flavors.

      Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

How much does a nutritionist cost?

A nutritionist provides expertise and guidance to help clients with all diet-related health matters, including losing weight, gaining muscle, improving their sports performance, and managing diabetes or high cholesterol. Nutritionists can help people learn to follow special diets in a healthy way, such as becoming vegetarian or vegan or developing a low-sodium or gluten-free eating plan. The average national cost of a nutritionist is $60 to $100. Nutritionists often require an initial consultation with a new client, during which they’ll take a medical history, assess the client’s nutritional needs, and determine the best course of action; this first meeting usually averages $100-$120 for a 45-minute to 90-minute consultation. Subsequent nutritional counseling sessions generally cost less, ranging from an average of $45 for a half-hour session to $60-$90 for a one-hour session. Like many professional service providers, nutritionists may offer discounts through package pricing. For instance, a one-month package with two sessions and email support costs an average of $190; a three-month package with three sessions and email support costs an average of $360; and a six-month package with six sessions and email support costs an average of $540.

Are nutritionists covered by health insurance?

Nutrition counseling can be a critical component of good health care, especially for people recently diagnosed with diabetes or high cholesterol who need to adhere to a specific diet. People also meet with nutritionists for help developing a healthy vegetarian or vegan diet, developing an eating plan to lose weight or gain muscle, or improving their sports performance by changing their diet. Nutritionists may be covered by health insurance depending on your reason for meeting with them. Nutrition counseling is more likely to be covered if it is part of a doctor-prescribed treatment for a particular medical condition, such as diabetes, obesity, high blood pressure or coronary heart disease. For example, Medicare covers medical nutrition therapy services only for people diagnosed with diabetes or kidney disease, as long as they get a referral from their doctor. Also, insurance providers more often cover nutrition visits if the patient has been referred to a registered dietitian within the carrier’s network of providers. Insurance plans vary greatly, so research your benefits before visiting a nutritionist.
