Introduction: I am the owner and teacher at McAllister Music and Art Studio located in Georgetown, Texas. I have been in business in 3 states since 1980 and have taught piano, voice, art, mosaics and dollhouse crafting and lessons. I recently moved from Central Austin, where I'd been for 17 years and am living in Sun City, Georgetown. I taught for all of the COVID months online and am now going back to "in person" lessons. I would teach both in my home or online. I teach all ages and treat each student as an individual with unique needs and wants. I don't cut corners. I may be a little more expensive, but quality is my focus and my years of experience will prove my knowledge is valuable.

Marty is the best piano teacher ever, she’s patient and passionate about music and the arts in general. Our son was 5 years old when he started taking piano lessons and he enjoyed learning under Marty for 7 years until he decided to join the middle school band. Marty makes it fun for kids to learn music and I would highly recommend her as a music/piano teacher.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge $70 per hour for online or in person lessons. I adjust for the half hour and 45 minute lessons. The student will be billed at the beginning of the month for the dates listed. Payment preferred is VENMO
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
An interview and interactive chat, along with a preview lesson so that the student can tell if it's a fit.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor's degree in Music Education with a principle in voice. I have taught piano since 1980 in Dallas, a small town in Oklahoma and Austin, TX. I am currently in Sun City, Georgetown, and am teaching online and in person. I have a Junior level in Art and have taught basic and hobbyist arts for years as well. I am currently focusing on piano lessons, however, since I don't intend to work full time, as I have done in the past.
