I have taken three theatre classes with Melba Martinez as the instructor. My work with Melba has been inspiring and transformative. She is deeply intuitive and insightful and knows how to bring out the best in each student. I can see the results of all the practices I have learned in her classes in my professional and personal life. Many areas of my life are moving forward in positive ways because I now have more presence, confidence and vitality. I credit Melba with most of these improvements.

Mr. Burford has been my acting coach since 2009. He has helped me prepare monologues for everything ranging from class rehearsals to monologue competitions to auditions for college theatre programs. He has without question been the most influential person in my deciding to pursue acting in college; his enthusiasm for acting and theatre in general is nothing short of contagious. And should I ever need help in the future, I will not hesitate to contact him. It could be 3 months or 3 years and he would offer advice or help me choose the right piece as if he was still my teacher. I highly recommend him.

I strive to help my clients relax by creating a non-judgmental venue for them to explore the art of acting for the stage.

Whether you're a beginner or just need to touch up for an audition I can help you. I've been acting for almost 20 years in Florida and Los Angeles (Bak Middle School of the Arts; Alexander W. Dreyfoos High School of the Arts; the BFA conservatory school at Florida State University. My strengths are Shakespeare, accents and dramas. But I'm most experienced in Musical Theatre, and how to audition. The first lesson is free! I love losing myself in the character and completely becoming someone else.
