Larry did an awesome job installing a custom french door to convert my formal living room to a study. He custom fit the door and made a beautiful custom glass header above the door. He and his assistant Katy were prompt in providing an estimate. They showed up on-time and as agreed to timely complete the job. I had an unfortunate personal issue occur during the job, and Larry was immediately willing to adjust his schedule and come out to my house early to complete the job and enable me to get out of town. Larry's price was very fair, and I am incredibly happy with the door. I highly recommend Larry for your door installation needs.

Peter came out on a Sunday and spent the entire afternoon installing a new entry door for us. Upon first look, I thought everything was good and it was another successful Thumbtack project. Upon further inspection the next day, I realized there is a significant gap between the frame and the door itself, and the door does not sit flush. This is a problem as there is too much give in the door and I can already tell it is going to cause long-term problems. It is also already difficult to engage the deadbolt on the door. Obviously, not an ideal situation. I contacted Peter about this, and he apologized for the situation, but would not commit to coming back out to correct his work for over a week. In my opinion this is not acceptable as it is a front door. For curtains or some other similar project I would be completely fine with a bit of a wait. I let him know that I needed this done ASAP and it should really only take a short amount of time. I asked for any day through Thursday this week as I was able to find a backup contractor with the ability to come out Wednesday. At this point he stopped responding entirely and attempted to delete the job from his page of hired work, which I know because I received an email stating that he was unable to do the job through Thumbtack. I'm assuming this was done in an attempt to stop this review from being posted. I will say that he's a super nice guy and easy to work with when he's on the job, but clearly is not willing to accept that his work needs adjusted and unwilling to make this right. Due to his unprofessionalism in declining to return to finish the job, I have to bring in a different professional and pay for the job again. I paid for the materials used with a check and am hoping Peter does not cash the check and rather takes the amount for materials out of the cash I paid him as the job was not complete to a satisfactory level.
