I contacted multiple contractors for major home renovation in Pearland. Out of all those Juan Perez JLD services stands out. He took his time to explain everything, provided me with places to buy material at wholesale prices and did a great job. He did my wood flooring, tile, carpet, kitchen/bathroom quartz, vanities, garage export, patio tile etc. His whole team is amazing. I am very happy with his services and glad that I found Juan Perez and will definitely used his services in the future. Don’t hesitate to hire him for all your home renovation needs.

I scheduled an appointment with Robert's Appliance Tuesday, June 19, 2018 to discuss repairing my rattling 12 year old Maytag Heavy Duty Dryer. Robert the owner contacted me 45 minutes to arrival and did show up on time. After he discovered the problem Robert informed me that he would be able to repair the dryer but needed to get the correct part from the store. He quoted me a reasonable price and I decided to move ahead with the repairs. Robert says he would be able to return the next day with the new part to repair the dryer. Wednesday, June 20, 2018 Robert called me 30 minutes to arrival to repair my rattling dryer with the new part. It took him 20 minutes to remove the old part and replace it with the new part. After Robert left my home, I washed some laundry in the washer-machine and moved them over to my repaired dryer. Works FINE!!! Dryer sounds QUIET again and the laundry is completely dry. I am a very satisfied customer of Robert's Appliance.

Quick diagnosis and repair of kitchen aid ovens. Went the extra mile to find and go get the needed part locally rather than order it and make me wait longer. Appreciated.

Josh did a great job installing a new gas water heater at the attic of my three story townhouse. He answered all of my questions and made me feel comfortable about the installation process. He sent me a reasonable price when compared to ARS Rescue Rooter.

I had them work on various tasks like wood flooring and a ceiling fan replacement and was very satisfied with the service and prices. They were upfront about everything, so I knew where I stood. They will even take care of miscellaneous issues related to the job. For instance, I just asked them about taking care of some siding, but was concerned about getting rid of a beehive first. They told me they can find a bee removal service and coordinate the details so I don't have to! Honest service, great prices, and very helpful; I highly recommend them.

Steve Smith has worked on both indoor and outdoor projects to repair or fix exterior wood siding, re caulk windows and caulk brick exterior, repair wall cracks and repaint as needed. He has been able to take care of interior electrical needs, trim trees and bushes. All work was done in a professional manner and I trusted him to be in my home when I was not there. His work is done fast, complete and all clean up was done after each job. He is honest and skilled at all manner of handy man work and does it with an air of accomplishing as perfect an outcome as possible. This is a Gentleman you can count on to to perform his work in a timely and efficient format.

Christopher came by to check out our stove, which wasn't working. But while he was here, he also was able to check out and fix several other appliances we had gotten accustomed to dealing with and has forgotten about. Nice guy and helpful. Would use again.

We needed some work done on our older home here in Sugar Land - we had a lot of rotten wood siding in various places that needed to be replaced. We got a few estimates, and a couple popular "highly rated" contractor companies didn't even get back to me, and it seemed most people just did not want to do the job because it was a tedious and time consuming project. But JVM jumped right in and got the job done in a timely manner, without sacrificing any attention to detail. The repairs were done with accuracy and quality craftsmanship - everything is seamless! They used quality materials and the price was very reasonable. I would highly recommend them if you are looking to get some work done on your home and quality/price/communication are important to you.

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

How much does refrigerator repair cost?

Refrigerator repair generally costs a fraction of the price of a new fridge and shouldhave your appliance up and running again in no time. The problems your refrigerator is experiencing and the parts required to fix it will affect your repair costs. Where you live can affect labor rates, which will raise or lower your costs. Here are some examples of average costs:

        • Diagnostic fees: $50-$100. Repair pros often have a service call fee or diagnostic fee to account for their time traveling to your location with all their tools to assess the problem. If you choose to have them repair the fridge, most pros then credit this fee toward your repair cost.
        • Parts: $20-$500. A new compressor averages $200, an icemaker $300, and computerized components such as touch screens and control boards average $300 or more.
        • Basic repairs: $180-$400, including parts. This price range can include repairing the evaporator or fan motor.

        How long do fridges last?

Refrigerators can last 10 to 20 years, although the most common lifespan is about 13 years. If your fridge is acting up, consider its current age when deciding whether to invest in repairs or buy a new one. Common easy fixes include faulty thermostats, dirty coils and clogged drain lines. Thermostats and dirty coils can be generally be fixed for an average cost of $80-$100. Clogged drain lines, which usually cause leaks, can often be fixed for under $200.

More complex refrigeration repairs such as replacing a bad compressor or replenishing low refrigerant can cost more because of expensive parts and higher labor. A new compressor costs an average of $200, not including labor. If labor is an average of $75-$100 per hour, and the repair takes 3 hours, you’re looking at roughly $500. Consider the age and purchase cost of your fridge; investing $350 in a $600 fridge that is 8 years old may not be cost-effective.
