Some of my recent performances include Fiordiligi in Mozart's Cosi fan tutte, with DC Public Opera (Washington, DC), Antonia in Offenbach's The Tales of Hoffmann with the Napa Music Festival (Napa, California), Loretta in a world premiere opera called Past the Checkpoints with Houston Grand Opera (Houston, Texas) and Donna Elvira in the Janiec Opera company's Don Giovanni in Brevard, North Carolina. I am a Northern VA/DC area native and was/still very active in the National Capitol area CAPPIES program, performing on the Kennedy Center Stage with their organization during my high school years and later returning to present awards at their annual awards show. Through the CAPPIES program, I have been featured on the Washington Post as well as on CSPAN and local television promoting the program as well as performing. • Wilkinson Educational Studios

    (2 reviews)

I am a piano and voice teacher with over 15 years experience teaching children and adults from beginner to late intermediate levels. I come to homes in the Chantilly, Centerville, and South Riding areas of Northern Virginia. Rates are competitive. I also teach on camera acting and drama. I teach all ages, but most of my beginner students are between 7 and 12. I enjoy working with this age group because they are a lot of fun and it is great to witness how quickly they learn new things! Some students who started with me as beginners are now teenagers and are performing at the intermediate level. Aside from performing more complex pieces, they also get to do popular songs they like. For many of them, music from the TV show "Glee" is a big favorite! Some of my favorite composers are Anton Dvoreck, JS Bach, Ludwig Von Beethoven, and Scott Joplin. Some of my favorite bands and musicians are Paul Simon, The Beatles, U2, Tori Amos, Alicia Keys, Coldplay, and the B-52's.

  • Mad Music Lab

We offer private and group voice lessons and private piano lessons. Welcome to Mad Music Lab (formerly Keyboard Adventures), western Loudoun's source for music instruction by music professionals. Located in Purcellville, Virginia, our studio is about an hour west of Washington, DC. Owned by experienced instructor and pianist-composer Jennifer Warren-Baker, our instructors believe that music is an artistic and experimental medium, meant to be passionately and creatively explored. One of our goals at Mad Music Lab is to respect the individual. Each student that walks through our doors is uniquely and beautifully made, and no student has the same musical personality and interests as another. We worry that too many music studios completely neglect student interests and are out of touch with contemporary musical idioms. At Mad Music Lab, we tune into students' hearts, and have the privilege of watching those hearts and souls take flight when a student connects with a piece emotionally.

Thumbtack Spotlight

Sarah Berggren

(1 review)

I have a passion for singing and sharing music, both through performing and teaching. Starting my own business is what allows me to dedicate my life to doing just that! It's a privilege to be able to share my voice and musical experience with people in a variety of life experiences - whether it will be at weddings, funerals, in the classroom, or performing onstage with world-class orchestras and other musicians.

Sarah Berggren had her music lesson at a very young age. She has practically poured herself entirely into the art. Her passion is simply manifested on the variety of projects she takes! Apart from her awesome performances, another amazing thing that she did was to share her talent to others.

I love performing in the old Broadway classics - a few years ago, I played the role of Laurey in "Oklahoma!" and won an award for "best female in a musical".

When booking a performer, make sure he/she is experienced and can accomplish what you need him/her to do!
