I am a 53 year old working mom and runner. I injured my knee and leg running in October. My doctors have told me not to run until they can diagnosis the problem. In an attempt to maintain my level of fitness I started working out with Michelle mid-November. Michelle has been outstanding in working with me and my doctors. She has been incredibly creative and so encouraging. She has introduced me to Yoga and strength training. I had never done either and it has been such a fun and exciting journey leaning and trying new things. Michelle has more confidence in me than I do in myself and she is always pushing and encouraging me to succeed! I am having such a fun time learning new things! With Michelle's guidance I have gained an amazing amount of strength, flexibility and balance. My sessions with her have also been diagnostic. We have discovered weaknesses that I am able to report to my doctors. My goal is to hopefully be able to resume running one day. I hope that with Michelles help and the doctors that I will be able to achieve that goal. Until that time I am having a blast with Yoga and strength training and doing things that I never would have been able to do without her help. So far it has been an exciting, educational and successful journey to fitness and health! Thank you again for your assistance.
I have had lessons and group classes with Emily and a great many classes at studios and gyms prior to finding her. As a personal/group trainer and retired military member with several injuries to my neck, back, and shoulders, I hoped yoga would be a sustainable rehabilitative and functional fitness discipline for me to add to my workouts. I found that I was able to Replace my workouts (if I liked) with the regimen Emily provided, and she was able to explain how and why it worked, while still making it easy to understand and fun. She remains the best yoga instructor I've met, (I'm still a student), a very knowledgeable resource for sports medicine and injury prevention, and I am pain free since roughly June of 2015 thanks to her. I can't ask for a better result than that.
