Arrived on time. The installation went quickly. Did a good job except he didn't put in the lights. Left it open for me to do later. Maybe that's the standard in the garage door industry, but if I'm doing a job, I'm going to complete it.
Repaired door, frame, and replaced lock. Great work! It was done so well you can't tell that it has been repaired and not replaced. Craig was very nice.
We hired Dan to install a toilet. He was prompt, responsive, professional, and performed quality work. He even helped fix our pocket door that was stuck. His prices were also very reasonable. I would highly recommend him.
Dale provided great service and was able to get my garage door opener remotes to work. Thank you.
I had several jobs to do. JWR estimated the time needed very well, worked steadily all morning replacing an exterior door and frame, told me what some of the problems could be that he could not fix, even though he tried, and repaired a fence. I was happy with the results.
Mr. Gamez did a fine job. He was courteous and timely. After an upstairs flood, most of our garage ceiling fell in below. Mr. Gamez & crew removed the remaining ceiling drywall, re-insulated and installed new drywall. We also had him do minor repairs inside the house where dings and small cracks have appeared from living here 22 years. He, again, did a great job. We happily recommend Rosalio Gamez and thank him for his hard work.
Pablo did an amazing job repairing my front door. He even looked at other stuff while he was there. Very polite and honest. Would totally use him again .
I have been looking for someone like Juan to help with some things around my house for a while and I'm so glad I found him. He just finished an install on a new exterior door an did a wonderful job and didn't finish the job until it was hung absolutely perfect! He is going to help with my kitchen remodeling soon too. I would definitely recommend Juan to anyone for home improvement, he does a great job at very reasonable prices and is a very nice man as well! Thanks again!!
Gerardo and his guys are excellent and efficient. Not only did they repair 3 doors that had shifted due to foundation issues, they also replaced the vanity in the laundry room, replaced ceramic tile, and a damaged plank in the wood floor. I was amazed by how quickly they performed all the additional tasks I added to the job. Lastly, by repairing the doors they reduced my cost by over $700 (if I would have bought new replacement doors). I highly recommend Gerardo and his team!
Josh was very professional and provided me with a quote to repair rotted door casing. Josh went above and beyond to make sure the job was done correctly and did not over sell repairs to me. I will more than likely be using him when other repairs pop up.
Eric is the best kept secret in North Dallas. He was very professional and knowledgeable about all the issue we listed for him. He address all the plumbering, painting, and repair needs in our home. I will definitely recommend and use Eric again.
Thom keep me well informed on when he was going to arrive. He is very courteous and experienced in his field. He is not afraid to tackle a problem. He throughly explained the problem on my front door and came up with a workable solution. I wouldn't hesitate to use Thom again for home services.
I had a door going from the kitchen to the garage that was very much out of line and emanuel of flawless construction did a beautiful job of straitening. it looks great, straight as can be. very nice young man. CLEAN AND POLITE. WOULD NOT HESITATE TO USE HIM AGAIN OR RECOMMEND TO SOMEONE ELSE.

I hired Fernando thru thumbtack to repair my fence door and to install a piece of wood under the granite for the new dishwasher. He responded immediately and is reasonable with his price. He is very professional and I look forward to hiring him for more projects!! Highly Recommend Fernando!!!
Great guy. Fixed my door lock problem and gave some useful tips.
I'm extremely satisfied with the quality of work on the installation of my door. Dion protected the carpet area near the door, ensured the door functioned properly with appropriate brick moulding and seals. He verified the security zone alert was operational and cleaned inside/outside work areas after the job was completed. This was a great customer experience.
Cesar did a phenomenal job. He painted 2 rooms and stained my front door. He was very thorough and ensured that I was satisfied with everything. And I was! Look forward to hiring him again for future projects!
I sought out a handyman for some odds & ends jobs around my home, like the faulty toilet handle needing repair, ceiling fan cleaning & detailed cleaning throughout my home, etc... Eddie was on time and did a great job. I would recommend him to others and will use his services in the future when needed.
This was our first experience with hiring someone through Thumbtack and we were a bit apprehensive. And, admittedly, things didn’t get off to a smooth start. Luis came to the house to get the scope of the job and bid it. We walked him through everything we wanted and the original online bid doubled. That is why we understand that online bids are all but useless. Until a contractor sees the job, they should not bid it! We were told that it was a two day job, but when the worker arrived (Luis didn’t show up) he tried to cram it all in to one day. That made us more nervous, but as he got rolling, he realized that it would take two days as Luis had said. Then, after the worker was done for the first day, we walked the job. There was paint spill on the hardwood floors and one of the patch jobs looked like someone stuck bubble gum on the wall and painted over it. There was also a divot in one of the walls caused by a drawer shutting on it and pulling out the paint when it was opened. Later, Luis admitted that he had done that when he checked the work. I would have thought he’d have fixed it. We let Luis know of these things that needed fixing and he agreed that on day two, they’d be handled. When the workers came back on day two, they were a little late. But they showed up on a Sunday as promised so they get extra credit for that. Day 2 required repairs to door hinges that another contractor had “fixed” and the “fixed” again. But the guys from Tyler’s did it right. They pulled the door frame apart, reinforced the wood, and reassembled the whole thing. By the end of the work the door swings like it was new and you’d never know that it had been repaired. It looked great. After the guys left I found myself cleaning up a little paint and some door handles and a counter top. It sounds like there were problems, but the reality is that, as someone who hires contractors for a living, there’s no perfect contractor. There’s always a “punch list” of things that need to be fixed or finished. I’m handy enough to do some of the final cleanup on my own and it’s easier to do it than to schedule the contractor to come back. I give these guys Four Stars because the work has all been done very well. The workers didn’t hesitate to do what needed to be done. They aren’t lazy like others I have seen and there was no argument about touching things up. I don’t get hung up on the original online bid being lower than the final bid, because I didn’t supply photos or dimensions when I submitted my request for bids. We will be calling these guys again.
