Called Dave to repair our pool heater. He told us it was the temp sensor which he replaced but way over charged us! The first time we go to use it water starts leaking out the side of the heater. He tells us the heater exchange is bad and we need a new heater. We are out $250 for a useless repair. We asked him to install a used heater and after finding one he wont return our phone calls. Won't ever use him again.

There was no over pricing, there was the service call which involved troubleshooting the heater,then the part and labor. I showed them the heater was working after replacing the temp sensor and there was no leaks of any kind on the heater. I was called the next day to come look at the heater because water was in fact spraying out. When I got there I determined it was a cracked tube in the heat exchanger which had nothing to do with what I was working on the day before. I informed them on the price of a new heat exchanger was . They called several days later said they had bought a used heater and wanted me to install it (for free)

Dave installed a Jandy Legacy pool heater LRZ400EN that we purchased from Pool Supply Limited and shipped to our house. They told us approximately what the labor should be on the installation. He did an excellent job on installing it and the price we paid was what we were quoted. I would recommend D&C Pool Repair for installing a new pool heater and are happy with his work. The heater is fabulous too!

Dave was a pleasure to work with. He did exactly what he said he would do, and for the price he quoted. He seemed to be very trustworthy - 90% of the work was done while nobody was home. He was very helpful, with his depth of knowledge. I would certainly use his services again.

How did you get started doing this type of work?
I had bought a house with a swimming pool, and in mid July the filtration motor quit. The house was new and still under warranty, so I called the warranty company to have it fixed. Then to my surprise they informed me that it would be at least 2 weeks before anyone could look at it. So after fighting with the warranty company I decided to fix it myself, after all, I was a mechanic for a major airline, so fix it I did !! and that's how my swimming pool gig got started.
