I have enrolled my 6 year old for violin lessons with Dolce Studio. Two Lessons and my son has taken a liking to the instrument and the teacher Ms.Emily is so encouraging & supportive. She knows how to draw out my son who can be very reluctant to try in the face of a difficult task. Thanks to the wonderful Brenda Bedell for all the initial ground work in setting up the violin teacher for us! Highly recommend the studio for music lessons.
Chihui is a very good teacher. I learned both piano and cello from her for a long time. She is good at encouraging her students, and make me feel like I am always making progress. Highly recommended.
As an adult starting piano lessons again after (eep!) 3 decades, I have to say that studying at McLaughlin School of Music has been a very gratifying experience. My teacher David Mesquitic has just the right touch. He is able to both encourage and challenge someone like me who has "just enough" knowledge to be dangerous but not enough to have mastered certain essential concepts for pop/jazz piano. Huge props to Matt McLaughlin as well. He has created a very warm and welcoming space in which to take lessons and definitely paired me with right teacher. I am thrilled to have found the McLaughlin School.
James has been a great teacher for my daughter. He plays the cello beautifully himself and is very patient with my daughter. He relates to the student and finds what interests them to apply it to his teaching. My daughter tried out for the local youth orchestra and Jamey came down for her tryout. He was reassuring and is preparing her to transition into playing in an orchestra setting. We are thrilled to have Jamey as a partner in our daughter's musical education. So happy that we are also having him do piano lessons with our son.
Very knowledgable and yet very patient and encouraging with beginner like me.
My son rates his cello lessons with Frank Jenkins 10/10. He feels musically challenged, enjoys his lively lessons and shares his special sense of humor : )
He's a great teacher. He is reteaching me to use proper technique and I can really tell the difference in how my music sounds. I practice more because it sounds better.
