Wendy is truly amazing. She has a knack for making both partners feel heard and has a toolbox of ways to get actual results in your marriage. She is not a traditional counselor because she stays for as long as you can handle and offers great ideas for facilitating change.

I'm laughing to myself seeing how Miss Audrie Henry is listed on this review page as a "Relationship Educator" (which she is), as I am truly the most relationship inept (Yes, I'm 50 years old and NEVER married). My selection of Miss Henry was prompted by my inquiry into looking for a Life Coach. As stated above, my age, and my career is what sent me on this quest to gain outside insight into what, if anything, I should do to ensure I'm on my correct path in life. Out of a list of many online advertised candidates, Miss Henry intrigued my inquiring mind. Her office is spare, yet comfortable. Quite simply, a type of meditation room for two, and this works. (There are throw pillows on the floor if you so desire). Miss Henry is personable and easy to interact with. She is questioning, but not intrusive. She gives you the opportunity to answer your own questions. Miss Henry is not overly clinical in her dealings, and does not make one feel to be a bug under a microscope. There were many people offering their licenses, and she certainly has her own titles to present, however, titles were not what I was looking for. I've worked with some people who have the alphabet at the end of their name. Certainly smart people who can pass tests, but tests of "bedside" manners they do not posses. Miss Henry has the wherewithal to be a counselor with insight. The path I am on is now more clearly visible thanks to the gentle guidance presented by Miss Audrie Henry.

Vanessa was highly referred to me by my former counselor (who was also wonderful!) We both happened to move to San Antonio around the same time- thank God! Vanessa was there for me in a big way by helping me transition to big city life and deal with other past stressors. I really appreciate her authenticity, kindness, flexibility, and guidance. Without Vanessa's help, I don't know that I would be as stable as I currently am. Vanessa, thank you for counseling me through a rough time! If you are looking for a caring, casual counselor, you should schedule an appointment with Vanessa. Much love, Crystal O.

We brought my young son to Doc for life coaching/counseling. He has severe depression. She has been a miracle worker in his life and he has made so much of an improvement. We see it everyday. Through it all we also have done marriage counseling with her. My husband and I were ready to get a divorce. We have been working with Doc on our marriage and have decided to stay married. They do not do insurance but she is worth every penny and a bargain at that. If she can get you in, I would jump at the opportunity to work with her. Not at all what I expected her to be. I have had several counselors through the years and always left the office feeling worse. She helps you face the issues but we have spent so much more time learning and laughing. She helps us all in my family keep life in perspective. Thanks Doc!

Dr. Mona has been my counselor for some time. I really appreciate her subtle way of working, we were making a lot of progress in a comfortable way, it wasn't all drama like I anticipated, and she handled the big stuff amazingly. She has great values and encourages me to grow and learn even when everything is going well. I recommend meeting her.

        About

I offer a healing place for everyone. I am a licensed professional counselor who specializes in working with children and families. I am also certified to provide clinical supervision for LPC interns. I have over 20 years of experience working with children with special needs and offer parenting classes, as well as in-home parent coaching services. I utilize play therapy and the creative arts in my work with children, and I utilize cognitive behavioral therapy primarily in my work with teenagers and adults. Issues that I work mostly with include grief and loss, depression, anxiety, life transition issues, addictive issues, communication challenges, behavior disorders in children, and ADHD issues in children and adults. I believe everyone has the capacity for greatness, that life is often difficult and we can get distracted from our true path, and that given time and support, we can get back on track and realize our full potential and dreams.

        About

When we are faced with personal conflict, it appears difficult to move on. In every relationship we negotiate our desires, but sometimes, somehow, life doesn't seem fair. I've been a therapist for 16 years. Give me a chance to help. You may not need a psychologist or psychiatrist, let's talk.

        About

I am a licensed professional counselor with over ten years of experience in working with individuals, especially women, families and groups. Some of the issues I commonly address include anxiety, depression, family-of-origin issues, stress-related illnesses, trauma, grief and loss, relationship issues, life transitions, and self-awareness and self-concept issues. I have experienced working in schools as well as with families and teens in residential treatment facilities. Some of the issues in which I have experienced were domestic-violence issues, alcohol and drug addiction, parenting, and blended families and divorce issues. I believe that healthy individuals and families seek counseling to remain healthy and to increase their overall satisfaction and contentment in their life. When people have the basics covered, then only do they really have the freedom to move higher on that hierarchy of needs to work on bettering relationships, self-awareness, self-confidence, and self-actualization. When you are ready to begin your own journey, I can help you find your path.

        About

I work with young adults, adolescents, and children to help them overcome issues they may be having in their lives. My counseling style is nonjudgmental, caring, empathetic, genuine and accepting. Parenting skills are also incorporated in my practice should there be a need. Many of the issues I work with are depression, bipolar, eating disorder, self harm, substance abuse, relationship conflict, grief and loss, and behavior modification. My practice is based on a positive and strength building theory. Self-esteem building and changing negative thoughts to positive are two of the things I work on with clients. My clients enjoy meeting with me, and we work together to help them reach goals.
