Bernie L. says, "Jaime referred me to a teacher on her team, and I had a good trial lesson with Emily. We then decided to schedule a 1st lesson 2 weeks later and put it on Google Meet (it was a remote lesson). When the time came, I waited 15 min on the Google Meet and the teacher never showed up. I sent an email and 4 days later I still haven't heard back. I also can no longer reach out to Jaime via the message thread we have on Thumbtack nor send her a message as a "new client". Not sure what happened, but the experience overall was not good. Jaime was very helpful and responsive and reached out to address the issue, and combine that with the good trial lesson, I'm ok with raising the review to 4 out of 5 stars (on my own volition). Thanks again Jaime!"See more

Before starting lessons with Peter I met with a couple other guitar teachers and gauged them against others I have known. I chose Peter because I found him to be everything I was looking for. Peter is smart. He is both a highly skilled player and a talented teacher. He is dedicated to teaching guitar vs teachers who don’t primarily play guitar or teachers who don’t have any training in guitar pedagogy. Hire him!!! I tried music lessons less for my boys with a local teacher before I found Tim. This person was rigid and impersonal. In a one-on-one, in-person guitar lesson, he used a laser pointer during instruction. And any music my boys had the option of playing was predetermined. I pulled them after one lesson. It felt like an extension of school. I decided to try remote to open up my options and get more flexibility as a single parent—with remote learning I wouldn’t have to drive them to lessons. But as someone who had music lessons growing up before the internet, I was skeptical remote learning would work. With Tim, it absolutely worked. He’s a music genius who literally can play just about any instrument. He’s been teaching one of my sons guitar and the other drums for just over a year now. He speaks their language and from the onset, he met them where they are. He asked what music they liked and immediately started working on helping them master songs to which they felt a connection, all while infusing lessons with technique, theory, and fun. I’m blown away at the progress my boys have made in this short amount of time—they’re playing music they love, and Tim’s teaching them to play together. Tim is knowledgeable, flexible, enthusiastic and affordable. I’m amazed at how much he’s taught my boys from the other side of the country, right through an iphone. I’m just waiting to find a hole in my busy schedule so I can start taking lessons from Tim, too! Hire Tim. You can’t go wrong. Your kids will love him.
