These guys did an amazing job with a landscaping job we had. They were very nice and easy to work with. The response time was amazing and the work they did was exactly what I wanted. I think the foreman's name was Steve that did the majority of the project we had. He worked extremely hard, cleaned up everything, and hauled away all of the sod that we had removed. I would hire them again in a heartbeat.

Don with Double D won the bid on my project and initially I was very excited by his knowledge and reasonable price. I gave him half of the overall job price upfront to get the process started and he told me that I was next in line, he would start in 2 days and it would be about a 3 day job total. Every few days I would call to get an update since I had not heard back, and each time was told another 2-3 days. After about 3 weeks since I gave the first check, they began work on my driveway. They tore up my driveway quickly, however, once the old driveway was torn up, work slowed substantially. Since the driveway was torn up it was over 2 weeks before the first section of driveway was actually poured. They did remove more dirt than expected and grading was a bigger issue than he anticipated, which they worked through well and from what I can tell did a excellent job grading. Then it was a week more till the second and final section was poured. Over the course of this time Don was hard to contact and did not return my calls. Before the second section was poured I wanted to ask him about some concerns I had. However, after 3 unanswered calls and 3 unanswered voice-mails I placed over the week before he poured the second section, he poured the second section before I could get answers about my concerns. Don constantly discussed how important it was to him about pouring around the weather and making sure it was done at the right time considering the weather forecast, which was usually the excuse I received for delaying the project each time. However, he poured the first section the day before it was scheduled to have a lot of rain, and the second and largest section of concrete the day before a huge snow storm came in and was forecasted to snow 6-10 a inches and freeze 2 days in a row, which it did. From what I can tell, the driveway is okay though. Overall they did a great job, but it took way longer than expected and it was frustrating trying to get a hold of Don and get updates on when they would be back to finish. I would recommend then to others since they do nice work, just be prepared for it to take longer than expected and not be updated on when they will be back when they don't show up when they said they would. But they do very nice work. Thanks.

Travis and his team were fantastic to work with. Our job required removing a lot of existing work, re-grading the site, and installing an in-ground trampoline. Throughout it all, they were easy to communicate with and were a good value. We're glad we went with White River, and we recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable grading and excavation contractor.

Jim with JK Excavating was very professional, friendly, and efficient. He graded and leveled my back yard, ground down three stumps on one side of my house, and totally removed three stumps from the other side of my house. If you are looking for someone who can get the job done right, Jim is the guy for you.

Tyler is amazing!! His work ethic and quality of craftsmanship is something to behold. I realize giving Tyler a perfect 10 on the job he did, might mean I will have to book him weeks in advance, but he earned my praise. It was just like HGTV!!! Thank you thank you Tyler!

I had Chris grade a portion of my yard to make way for a pad for a shed. The site needed to be level. He was quick and efficient and the job was done perfectly. The shed installers didn't need to shim the base at all. He also went above and beyond in helping me move a sprinkler line to ensure I wouldn't have issues with it once the shed was in place. He has a good eye for detail and aesthetics. He suggested I place the removed dirt on another corner of the yard, creating a curved burm, which I can plant some trees and flowers on. I will definitely have him come back to help with tree/plant selection and placement in the spring.

We loved Pebble Creek Design! They are the best in the Salt Lake area. We had a large back yard area but the prior owners had left it practically unusable. I told Pebble Creek that I wanted a basketball court and a flat grassy area for the kids to play soccer but I left all of the design and landscaping up to them. The design and implementation were awesome. We got a basketball court and a soccer area, but also an in-ground trampoline, a swingset area, a custom stone patio, a fire-pit area and a sledding hill for winter. All of these items are perfectly situated on multiple tiers in our back yard among rock retaining walls and planting areas. To top it all off, the entire project came in on-time and on-budget. Our back yard is now the place where all of the cousins and neighborhood kids come to play.

Mike is fantastic! I visited several nurseries before deciding to go with Mike. He even met us at several job sites to assess the quality of his trees and work. His tree prices were very competitive and his labor was almost 25% of what most others charge to plant. We planted nearly sixty trees so all of the tree platings could have really added up if it were the standard 30-50% cost of tree planting fee per tree that many others charge. Because Mike charges per planting and not a percentage of tree he saved us a lot of money. I'm very picky and after they had all been planted, he even willingly moved several of them for me to ensure they they were just they way I wanted them. We purchased Blue Spruce, Concolor Firs, Autumn Blaze Maples, And Aspen. We have a four acre yard so we wanted it to look like a natural park and selected 7' - 15' trees. Mike came and did ground water tests for us to ensure that the trees that we had selected would do well in our soil. He is honest and is extremely personable. We plan to buy many more from him over the years.

Rob did a great job repairing our demolished sprinkler system! We had trenched through our yard destroying sprinkler lines and wires. He came and fixed all and was fun and pleasant to work with, saying that he enjoyed solving puzzles. He did the job quickly, working evenings and Saturday. Great response to our scheduling needs. He always responded to texts quickly and professionally. He stuck to his estimate and charged us a very reasonable price. We highly recommend Rob!

April 2, 2015 Sunderland Construction has performed multiple maintenance and special projects over the past eight years for the properties where I have served as Director of Operations. Paul Sunderland has been awarded projects based on my assessment of his competitive estimates compared to other contractors. Some of the projects that he has completed include: general building repairs, sidewalk replacements, repairing restroom damage, removing and installing roof access ladders, remodeling reception areas, refurbishing retail mobile units - and even harvesting, installing and decorating 75-90 ft. fresh cut, Christmas trees in our retail environment. This is much more challenging than you can believe, but done beautifully and safely every year for the enjoyment of our guests. As an on-site contractor Sunderland Construction has been required to provide the company stipulated insurance coverage for our commercial projects in upscale Outlet Shopping Centers. Sunderland’s diverse experience, knowledge and ingenuity have made him an ideal person to hire for these various jobs, both big and small. Above credentials and experience, I can count on his integrity, professionalism and attention to time sensitive situations. Sunderland Construction will continue to be a trusted company that I will call upon for tackling projects in the future.
