Hired Lewis Piano Movers to move a grand piano. Before the move, provided extensive detail and multiple picture that documented a flight of stairs to go down at my house. Also asked them about their warranty coverage and was told they have $2 million of coverage in case of damages. They were understaffed with three movers; they should’ve had one more person (i’ve had this piano move before by other companies and previously four movers always did the work properly). The struggled getting the piano down the stairs. In the process they damaged the wall and they cracked a handrail along the staircase. Called and emailed their office multiple times about the damage and got no response at all. Ended up having to pay more to fix the damage than the cost of the move itself. It’s too bad they were not honest in the first place and refused to fix the damage that they created. Based upon other reviews apparently they’ve done this before. Recommend going with another company that is better staffed, more experienced, and more honest.

For pianos especially — this vendor only covers 0.60 of liability insurance per pound of items moved. For a $15k piano, that means $300 of insurance maximum if they damage it. That wouldn’t even pay for a tuning.
They delayed sending me contracts for weeks and the day before my move, I get the contract. When I ask them about this insurance (which is insane), they cancelled on me. 1 day before my move, with my lease ending and 2+ weeks pre booked.
If you don’t care about your items being potentially damaged with them having no liability for it, then go ahead and use them. For the rest of us who have pianos as investments, avoid at all costs.

From the first communcation we had until the brand new Lewis Piano Movers' van pulled away, Van and Lance Lewis could not have been more professional, knowledgable and helpful. They were ahead of schedule, gave regular ETAs, and made moving a 750 lbs piano look very easy when we know it is not. I really liked this group of professionals. They were so fast yet careful and diligent. They came as scheduled, they were polite and helpful in placing my piano properly in the room. Beware of the other companies out there who claim to be one of only three professional piano movers in the area and give astronomical quotes. These guys are contenders, for sure. They were very fairly priced.

Robert and his teammate did a great job moving my baby grand Disklavier from one side of the room to another. They protected the floors and moved the piano slowly and methodically using long boards, superhero strength and precision. They were patient with my adjustments to the location as well. I spoke with a representative of the company and was told they could move the piano on one of several days, depending i their schedule. When I did not hear back I called the same person to finalize a time and my call was never returned . I ended up using Potter movers and they showed up in time and did a great job
