I highly recommend Tod as an instructor, for bass guitar or otherwise! He is very patient and encouraging with novice players, and is able to quickly get them to a level where they get to enjoy playing songs they know. For more advanced players, Tod can really help to push your skills to the next level. He is absolutely one of the best teachers, for all levels, I have ever known.

I'm going on week four of guitar lessons with Olivier, and the fact that he hasn't given up on me nor have I thrown in the towel, is a testament to his skill as a teacher. His ability to listen once to any song I choose and one break it down for me into its requisite chords in manageable pieces is not only impressive but inspiring, and makes my lessons tailored to my individual taste in music. He's patient, easy going, and very professional which is a great combination in a music teacher.

My daughter takes guitar lessons once a week from Rachel. Rachel offers a great atmosphere for enjoying music and learning to play the guitar. She makes it fun and uses alot of songs that are current. My daughter practices at home all the time and she talks about how much she loves taking lessons from Rachel! What more can a mom ask for? I highly recommend.

My son took guitar lessons from Connor for years and looked forward to them each week! Connor allowed him to choose music selections he was interested in learning and that encouraged him to play more.

Out of all the guitar teachers iv'e had, garrets the beast for sure. Of course the first lesson was weird but once he finds the you, he completely relates to you. like i am more of a hardcore man, so when we have our lessons so is he. Me and a couple of my friends are trying to make a band, and we all have garret so he helps us write, record, mix, master everything. this is my second year with garret and i love this man! it's going to be my second time going to this camp and we are recording four songs! i completly recemend this guitar teacher to your kids, he is the best

I loved the way he presented music to me, I had been struggling for a long time with the guitar and he got me playing my favorite song in a month, and singing along too!! The class was fun and dynamic so I was never bored or uninterested. Thumbs up!

I've been playing guitar for 5 years. I'm well-versed in several genres including rock, pop, folk, and my favorite, the blues. I am also well-versed in the fundamentals, chord structures, finger development and timing. I know a versatility of guitar techniques and can give one-on-one instruction to students. I can also instruct on things like proper guitar management. If the students like a particular artist or band, I am quick at picking up and figuring out how to play others' songs and can teach that to my students.

About

I began playing the tuba in the 7th grade, which taught me how to read music. Since the bass guitar and the tuba's music notation is exactly the same, I began playing bass in 1992. I played lead guitar for 22 years, prior to changing to bass. I'm 55 years old, and have over 40 years of experience playing in bands (since I was 14). For three semesters, I studied music at Va, State College (present Va. State University) while marching in the band. My services include a bass guitar and beginner's book available for the student, until they can purchase their own. I have a studio behind my home (used for band rehearsals), where the lessons will be given. Other items provided are bass amp, cable, guitar stand, and audio system for listening purposes.

My method is fairly orthodox -- I teach what is needed for a student to actually be able to play songs in just a few weeks. While we will learn the basic chord shapes and scales, I will also teach alternative tuning, many of which have much simpler chord shaping, enabling some popular songs to be learned even by the beginner.

About

I give private guitar and banjo lessons to students of all ages! While I use a book as a framework for lessons, I also teach students how to play with a group and become a better musician as a whole. Lessons can be 30 minutes or an hour.
