I hired Chef Kev through Thumbtack because he replied promptly to my request and already had a suggested menu based off of my needs. The event was my 1 year wedding anniversary and I requested drop-off catering for a buffet style dinner. The only change that I'd make is the time. Chef Kev was delayed due to traffic but looking back, if he was able to arrive just 15-20 minutes sooner I may have been less distracted and frantic! LOL! Everything else was absolutely awesome. The price was great, the flavor and creativity were amazing... all of my guests enjoyed the food! If I ever decide to hold another large event, Chef Kev will be the first caterer I call!

4.5 Drapes were there before we arrived and looked good. The only hitch was that they had told my wedding coordinator that they would come back on Monday to pick up the drapes (Wedding was on Saturday) which kind of stressed us out but we just thought we'd deal with it later. But then at the end of the wedding the vendors came and took it down which was great, but we could have done without the added stress.

This is one of most professional companies I have ever worked with. Their customer service is superb! They catered my wedding and they exceeded my expectations. The food was amazing and their set up was impeccable. They were so great my wedding coordinator wanted their information because she said after doing this for 20 years they were one of the best.

HIRE EDELINA! I recently got married in DC and while I wanted to control most things, I knew I needed a coordinator to help me manage all the details. Edelina pays extreme attention to detail, and scheduled regular calls to see where I was at, keeping a checklist to remind me when something needed to get done. She also responds to emails almost immediately--it's seriously impressive and puts a stressed brides mind at ease! Additionally she was able to recommend vendors, and any of those vendors I reached out to would all say the same thing--you picked an amazing wedding coordinator! A few weeks before my wedding I was distraught about not being able to find a reasonably priced calligrapher and Edelina immediately gave me recommendations within my budget. I cannot express how happy I am with her services.

After I decided to plan a 70th birthday party for my father, I knew I wanted something different other than just a few guests at home. After speaking with the owner of ALD, April, about what I was looking for and what my budget was, she immediately started helping me brainstorm options for locations and vendors to take care of everything from cupcake orders to banners. She even went to visit the restaurant, see the room, and speak to the restaurant event planner before I could make it over to the location. April is super organized and has timelines and deadlines for each step in planning the event and she always returned my calls and emails in a timely manner. When the day of the event arrived she had all of the materials as discussed and decorated the dining room with a beautiful black and gold theme. She provided everything from chair covers and table linens to balloons. Everything went as planned and she stayed around to make sure everything was on track. I'm so glad that I worked with ALD! They created a memorable and unforgettable event.

Angie did a great job assisting me with planning my wedding and an exceptional job coordinating the event, on the day of. She provided lots of inputs toward the planning, coordinated my wedding rehearsal, introduced me to some very talented and reasonably priced vendors (seamstress and florist) who both did an excellent job with my wedding dress alterations and my wedding flowers. Angie also did all my wedding event decorations which looked so spectacular; my guests are still giving me compliments about them till this day. Angie was heaven sent... and I had a blast working with her. Thank you, Angie :)

Floyds DJ Services were amazing!!! They made the event glow with their beautiful uplighting that coordinated with my wedding colors. They got the crowd up and dancing with all of the crowd favorites! They were able to read the audience and made awesome song selections that fit the guests tastes! They came early and were completely set up for showtime. They accommodated some wedding hiccups that happened, specifically a late start! They were very professional and friendly! I could not have asked for better DJ! I am very impressed and appreciative. I definitely recommend Floyds!

I hired Michele Palmer to be my day-off wedding coordinator for my 220-person wedding, and I could not be more pleased with the services that Michele and her colleague, Debby, provided! FANTASTIC!!! The wedding day-off coordination service is more that just the "day-off" - Michele came out to the venue and went over details with me a month prior to the wedding, her and Debby attended the rehearsal dinner (and patiently waited for our tardy wedding party), and Michele was quick to answer any questions I had and give me advice in the months leading up to our wedding. During the actual wedding day, Michele and Debby made sure everything went smoothly and I didn't have to worry about a thing. Michele was also instrumental in providing me with great advice regarding asking my rental company for an early tent delivery - since it was expected to rain all week prior to our wedding. This ensured that the grass under the tent was relatively dry for our wedding day. I would 100% recommend Michele and her company to any future bride. Trust me, you need the help!!!

My husband and I hired Mary as our Day of Coordinator for our wedding this past July. Mary absolutely loves this type of work and stayed in constant communication with us about personal items that she owns that she could bring and use at the wedding free of charge. She even made a trip out to our home to meet us in person! On the day of, she did a wonderful job helping my family and friends with the decorations, as it was a very DIY wedding. Mary is so sweet and loving, as well as great at what she does. We would highly recommend her again :)

We can not express into words the phenomenon job that Extravagant Affairs did for our wedding on 11/05/2016. From the time that we chose them to handle our catering needs to the very end of our special day, their team handled every detail with the highest level of class and commitment. Our guests are still talking about the excellent food selection. If you are looking for elegance, price affordability, and professionalism, I would definitely recommend them

Tiffany did an excellent job in helping with our event. We were having a dinner with immediate family to celebrate our wedding, and Tiffany set the table for the dinner, set up the cocktail hour, and picked up and served the food and drinks for dinner. One particularly tricky part of our dinner was that, despite it being a small group (11 people total), there were many different dietary restrictions (and difficult directions for all those different restrictions!), but Tiffany got everything exactly right and did a fantastic job making sure it all went smoothly. She was also incredibly quick to respond over email and extremely accommodating. I would highly recommend Tiffany and Party Helpers for any event!

We hired Lisa to be our on-site wedding coordinator a month before the big day, and she jumped right in and helped everything run smoothly and efficiently. She worked with the on-site staff to decorate and prepare the venue and she did a great job. Would recommend Lisa to others.

Vanessa was a wonderful wedding coordinator. She was extremely helpful, responsive to all of our needs and requests, and made great suggestions as well. She also took it upon herself to coordinate some of the decorations for the ceremony/cocktail hour/reception when I was busy during the timeline of the day, and I couldn't thank her more for that! The day was perfect and Vanessa had a great part in that.

I was the maid of honor for my sister's wedding in the Fall of 2016 and I must commend Denise for her coordination and attentiveness. She is extremely helpful and always willing to see a task through to completion. My husband and I are SUPER EXCITED with the outcome and very careful planning of our 10 year "Vow Renewal"!! Planned by Shauna Robinson of 'Brides-to- be Wedding's. Mrs. Robinson came to our home and explained 'exactly' what "Brides to-be'- does', she was also concerned with what our expectation's were for our wedding. We were so impressed with her kindness, her elegance, her organization skills and her ability to take the stress of planning off of my plate! She saved me so much stress!!! Our wedding was Simply Amazing thanks to Shauna! She stayed in contact with all of my vendors, the venue coordinator and anyone else involved in my wedding! I couldn't believe just how organized she was...she took my stress away and assured me that she was going to make sure my wedding was everything we thought it would be, and she delivered!!! Khatera is your go-to expert all things wedding and parties! She was very easy to work with, great listener, organized, creative, and full of energy. From the day my now husband and I picked our date, I reached out to her immediately because I had no idea where to start. Always quick to respond and find a solution. She guided me throughout the process to ensure that things move smoothly the day of. Her coordination and eye for detail resonated with me. She knew exactly what I wanted and how I wanted things done and prepared without me having to express myself. Without her, my wedding would not have been organized let alone on time. A bonus for me was that she understood mine and my husband's culture! So hard to find someone in the Midwest or fly someone out who knew the ins and outs of the Afghan and Pakistani cultures. Amanda and Remembered Events planned my April 22 wedding. She was just perfect for what we needed. I didn't want to stress or do anything the week of my wedding.
