Lisa and I have met to discuss editing my book and she's been very helpful in the process. We haven't finished the project but I'm looking forward to working with her on future projects.

Andi edited my first manuscript. I was scared to offer up what I had written to a stranger but found her to be kind in her critiques and extremely encouraging. She was also prompt in her responses.

Lisa Bacon edited a book for me in 2014. We had an excellent and congenial working relationship as she was efficient, timely, and extremely helpful with suggestions and corrections. We worked together almost entirely via e-mail and a few phone calls, a system that was convenient, and time-saving for us both. I highly recommend her editing and proofing abilities and would call on her services again in the future without hesitation.

At the very beginning of our working relationship, Jane spent a GREAT deal of time helping me narrow down what the specific and unique focus of my book was, and the time she took to help me with this critical foundational aspect of the whole book was monumentally important. In similar fashion, she devoted a lot of time and expertise toward helping me identify and promote myself as a legitimate author whose voice and authority are valid and necessary. Then throughout the writing and editing stages, Jane engaged herself in the work not only as a copy editor but also as a potential consumer/reader of the book, which pushed me to make the content more coherent and more accessible to the reader. In addition to her knowledge and skills regarding format, style, and grammar, she has a good sense of how to maximize a book's chances of attracting, maintaining, and rewarding its readers. Additionally, throughout the entire project, Jane was just as attentive to what the book meant to ME, the author, as she was to what the book would mean to the reader. Overall, I enjoyed the working relationship that Jane and I had, and she helped me to grow in so many ways.

S. Hasselbacher is always my first choice for an editor for grant proposals, conference papers, and other material as part of graduate school in anthropology. She always works quickly and efficiently to offer helpful comments. She is always on time and in fact almost always early! Her valuable comments point out where grammar, word choice, organization, and the overall argument can be improved yet she never makes me feel defensive. People have often been impressed with my grant proposals and conference papers, at times noticing with approval changes she recommended with regards to word choice and organization. She is also helpful with grammatical minutiae and anthropology style guides. I cannot recommend her enough!

Jacob is fantastic! I needed some last minute help with a history paper (copy and line editing) and he got through all 60 pages within two days, so I made my deadline! His corrections and suggestions were organized and professional. You can't beat his rates for the quality and flexibility. Thanks again, Jacob, for helping me out. Couldn't have gotten it done on time without you!

Transcription, proofreading, editing, etc. I have been in the business sector of the medical industry for approximately eight years. I worked for 7-10 practices at varying times. I was in charge of billing, coding, negotiating with insurance companies, collections from patients, etc. I left this position because of a personal health issue that is now under control, which will now allow me to work a schedule as I see fit. Before teaching, I spent 15 years in the automobile finance industry. This involved my ability to negotiate and finalize contracts between customers, dealerships and banking institutions. Accuracy, obviously, was my utmost responsibility.

My events leave lasting impressions without the financial burden! Efficient and economic excellence . . . Every time! I'm a published author, successful grant writer and avid editor, as well. A cut above the rest without the burden of the fiscal strain of my competitors!

I can edit for content and tone, grammar and word usage. I'm also adept at proofreading. My fee is determined by how in-depth the editing is and the type of material. I have experience with memoirs, novels and non-fiction. Usually I will do a "read-in" for an hour to get a sense of about how many pages an hour I'll be able to read so that you can get an accurate idea of the total cost of the services.
