I've only had one lesson, but his lessons are tailored to the student which is great. He communicates well and leaves no surprises. I highly recommend Marshall.
Heather has a warm and encouraging teaching style. She’s very flexible with scheduling lessons. I highly recommend her!
The good thing about my program students and parents love when you can travel to them to make it easier for them.

I give guitar (acoustic/electric), bass, violin, banjo, viola, ukulele, mandolin, dulcimer, and saxophone lessons.
I began playing the piano at the age of 6. I am a student of Robert Schafer, the Director of the Washington Oratorio Society. In seventh grade, I began trombone lessons with Larry Wiehe, principal trombonist for the Air Force bands. While studying music education at VCU, I played in the concert and symphonic bands, the orchestra. I also played in the jazz orchestra 1 for several years, gaining national recognition and accolades for the music program. I taught middle and high school band where my groups consistently earned excellent and superior ratings at festival (where bands are judged by a panel of guest band directors from other localities), and I play every instrument in the band. I have had the privilege of teaching several students who have auditioned for and made All-District band. Even though I am a brass and piano specialist, over the years I have had the distinction of having at least one student make the top group in every section, including a first chair flautist, and a first chair saxophonist.
