Had AV come out to install paver patios 400 sqft worth with a retaining wall and a 6x6 corner bench. Misa and Jesus were responsive and was easy to work with. Will definitely have them back out for future hardscaping project.

The subcontractors they hired don't know how to build retaining walls or do proper drainage. Throughout the project they installed the drain higher than the ground so the water is draining over the patio. The patio itself, although it generally has the right slope, in parts of it the water collects under the pavers. During the construction the subcontractors refused to follow the project manager's instructions as to what and how it needs to be done. We discussed how proper drainage needs to be built only for them not to build it. We reached a compromise solution since they has already installed the pavers but it doesn't work well. The base course of the retaining wall is not embedded up to half of the height of the block and they only filled the blocks after requesting to do so 4 times. There was originally no gravel in the blocks or behind them, not to mention compacting. Overall the workers are not good with straight lines, precision or proper drainage (which is a big problem given the amount of rain in WA), and they are most certainly not attentive to details. The only redeeming parts were the project manager and the handyman Sta Built sends to fix in the mistakes the subcontractors do. Hopefully this acts as a warning sign for Sta Built to drop the subcontractor. The project was a massive $70k+ and I'm not happy or confident it will last.
