    Kirby Music School

    (14 reviews)

Every student has different motivations for learning music and wants to learn different styles. Having experience performing both classical and modern music, I will build a customized lesson plan to fit your goals. For young students I incorporate other learning goals parents have, focus on fun and build a solid base for future music pursuits. Music is my passion. It's not a job to me. Anytime spent playing and teaching music makes me feel alive. Sharing this passion and making music education available to all, regardless of life circumstance, is my top priority.

    Traveling Music to You

    (2 reviews)

I teach piano for beginners to intermediate-level students, children and adults. I travel to their homes for lessons. Having lessons for several in the family is cost effective for the family as well as for me on the travel time/cost. I have had 15 years of instruction experience, have taught piano on and off for many years and believe that music should be a fun and rewarding pastime!

I offer individualized instruction that takes into account the goals and learning style of the student. I have experience teaching a variety of ages and levels. Being a piano teacher is very rewarding because I have the privilege of helping my students grow musically and achieve their personal goals in a way that is supportive and encouraging. I have a BA in Music from the University of Oregon I enjoy teaching because it is a learning experience for me as well. I also enjoy using different ways of teaching that correspond to the individual student's learning style.

Professionalism, friendliness, and wonderful music! I am a concert pianist with my Master's of Music degree from Lynn Conservatory of Music who is extremely experienced in both playing and teaching piano. Competition winner and great collaborator! It makes me really happy when people reach out and enjoy my music. When I am able to connect with my audience's hearts via performing. I also really enjoy teaching piano and seeing my students advance and succeed. Nothing can be more rewarding than that.

  • Lorraine's Piano Academy

    (1 reviews)

Lorraine's Piano Academy offers private piano lessons for ages 3 to 93. Learning to play the piano should be fun and exciting, while also holding students to a high standard. Students learn by playing lots of games created to teach musical concepts (for young students) and following an individualized study plan, allowing each student to learn thoroughly at their own unique pace. Older students also have an individual study plan, and have frequent opportunities to put musical theory into practice. Students feel a sense of accomplishment quickly as they learn to play "real" music soon after beginning lessons. For parents interested in a music program for very young children, Lorraine's Piano Academy offers an Early Childhood Music program for ages 2 to 7 years. This program incorporates all the things that babies and young children love: Singing, dancing, playing rhythm instruments, experimenting with real instruments, story time, listening to many genres of music, and together time with their parent(s). All of these activities promote brain development, gross and fine motor skills, social skills, speech development, verbalization, bonding with parent(s), and much more.
