I've just started taking my first guitar lessons ever, about 3 months now, with Scott, I really like his way of teaching, he is very professional and knowledgeable, I would definitely recommend him to anybody that is either a beginner or advanced guitar player, looking forward to be able to play the blues and I'm pretty sure that with his help I'll be rocking the house soon. Play on!!
I've had about 6 lessons with Mary on guitar and have thoroughly enjoyed them. She has a great eye for details in technique thats very important in a guitar teacher to keep you on track. I also like the way she builds the skills on top of each other while not trying to do this be repeating the same song until perfect. This is an excellent way to keep the student engaged while building the technique that will be needed. I also like that she is not locked in to a particular dogma. For example, I'm a pretty large person and we needed to adjust my posture from the standard classical guitar posture. She was able to articulate the general principles that one wants to achieve in their posture and use those principles to help me find a posture that works for my body type. In summary. I would gladly recommend Mary to friends wanting to learn classical guitar.
I always wanted to learn to play guitar, and tried several times to teach myself without success. The idea of taking guitar lessons was super intimidating to me, but I decided to give it a shot, and I'm so glad I did. Ryan is an amazing instructor. His passion for teaching is obvious, and I feel like I learned so much from him in a short amount of time. He addresses all the things any new player faces such as a lack of confidence and bad habits. Right away I felt comfortable and encouraged, and I looked forward to lessons every week. The lessons motivated me to want to practice and work through everything I was learning, and they were always fun. Ryan has a great sense of humor and a knack for using pizza metaphors to explain music theory :) I can't say enough great things about my experience, and I encourage anyone considering lessons with Ryan to definitely go for it. You won't be disappointed.
Ed is talent and wonderful instructor. My son enjoys and looks forward to his guitar lessons with Ed. It's been easy to schedule lessons and Ed's responsiveness to all emails is quick and commendable.
Started guitar lessons a couple of months ago and couldn't be happier. I was self taught and played by ear. Didn't feel I had time for lessons. But, I was missing a lot of the fundamentals. The lessons have started to fill in the gaps and I'm learning a lot faster than before. I wish I started these lessons a couple of years ago. And way too easy taking these lessons at my place. Highly recommended!
We've been working with Ken since September for our 11 year old's electric guitar lessons. We've been pleased with Ken's professionalism, structure and teaching style. Our son has learned a great deal in a short time after being away from lessons for two years and enjoys his lessons a lot. Ken is a great guy to work with and the studio is a nice place for private lessons. We've had the opportunity to meet a few of his other students around my son's lesson times, and it's clear that Ken is able to teach and work with a wide variety of ages and levels. We give Ken our highest recommendation.
I really enjoy music lessons with Jacob, I've had several teachers and he is by far the easiest to work with and to learn from. He's a great guitar player and keeps the lessons fun, he also does a good job at making sure that what I'm practicing has something to do with what I'm interested in. I've had teachers in the past that did not make guitar interesting, Jacob is great, well worth the money! I'm much better than I was before I started with him.
I am an adult, professional, working full time and raising two teenagers. I have been taking acoustic guitar lessons from David O'Suna for the last year. I have progressed from beginner, with some prior musical experience, to being able to play hundreds of songs. David has been low-key, encouraging and able to challenge me to build on my skills every week. His teaching style is very adaptable and his knowledge and interests are wide ranging. He has been an excellent resource.
Started taking singing lessons with Maddy as a complete beginner. She's been so kind, patient, and supportive and is wonderful about explaining how the voice works. I highly recommend her!!
Great first lesson as a new guitar player. Edgar is professional and talented. I'd definitely recommend working with him if you're in the market for a guitar teacher.
I had one 1-hour guitar lesson with Curt and it was a good experience. He clearly knows his stuff. He listened well and took the time to get a sense of where I'm at. After playing some he gave me some exercises that I think will be very helpful. I will be going back for more lessons.
Ben's been great at getting me over my trepidation with learning guitar. After my fourth lesson I've been able to pick up the basics. He's patient, helpful, good humored, and inspires me to keep going. Thanks, Ben.
Like any think that is built a good foundation is the most important thing. I played around with a guitar for fourth years, but did not have a good foundation. I studied under CW for almost a year and it has been a whole new world in playing the guitar. I enjoy playing so much. I may play for hours, But it's in your foundation, the basics. I went to other guitar instructor's in California. I learned simple songs and cords. CW builds a good foundation on scales, timing. You work on different scale patterns. Next thing you know you are exploring you own patterns. You begin to make the guitar sing. I was going to sell all my equipment I have had most of my life, old gibson's and fender's, but after meeting CW I not playing the same old thing. CW has given me the ability to grow and explore, really enjoying playing guitar. I feel very bless and lucky to have CW as a mentor.
RL has been a fantastic guitar teacher for our 15 year old son. He is professional yet fun and our son really looks forward to his lesson each week. Recommend him highly.
Friendly and knowledgable, Larry was my piano teacher for over 5 years, but together we dabbled in voice, sax, guitar, and even a bit of drums. He tailored lessons to exactly what I wanted to do and how I wanted to do it. He can stick to the standard lesson plans, or adapt them to exactly what you want to learn. He's a good guy and a good teacher who gave me all the foundations to be confident in just about every aspect of music.
I've had the distinct pleasure of both, playing music with and learning from Eric. Eric's kind, patient, and flexible manner make him a wonderful teacher, as well as, an asset as a bandmate. One of his many great talents is that he can take his knowledge of the fundamentals of learning music, and make the experience fun and motivating. He performs regularly around the greater Puget Sound area, check him out!
My main goal is to find out where you are at musically, where you want to go, and finally customize a lesson plan to get you there smoothly and with a smile!
I teach how to shred on guitar and classic music. I've been playing the guitar for about nine years, and I became a master. I know how to play metal, and I also know classical music.
I teach beginning to intermediate guitar lessons in the comfort of your home. It can be for 30 min., 45 min. or a full 60 min for afternoons and weekends only. Bring your own guitar or use the house guitar.
I aim to teach students how to be a relevant musician. My lessons are focused on the progress of music itself.
I let the students lead the lesson, I'll teach them the songs they want to learn and what you can take away from the song to make you a better musician.
