Sean did an amazing job explaining the process planned to use to solve our spider problem over the phone prior to accepting his bid. I felt confident that he would be thorough in his inspection. He arrived on time and went through the process again with my husband, since I was unable to be home, to insure we both understood the plan. As new home owners he had went above and beyond to help identify future problem areas where vents were not properly covered to keep pests out that even our home inspector had missed. Thank you so much for doing such an excellent job!
The responses on Thumbtack to our request were really fast and there were several inspectors to choose from. We declined all initially as we decided not to pursue that particular house but Thumbtack service was excellent.
The summary section of his reports provides my clients with much more information than your basic inspection report such as: The urgency of the repair, the level of cost, the best time to perform the job and possible repercussions if the item is not repaired or replaced. This company answered all the usual questions regarding inspections that clients always have. He made my job much easier!
One of the most professional inspectors I have ever met. His knowledge saved us many dollars in after purchase repairs. Was great to work with him!!
Top notch service, and I would highly recommend Ken! Very responsive and timely communication, and he delivered a detailed report of issues with photos and intuitive descriptions the same day. I've worked with other inspectors before, and I thought Ken went above and beyond.
Ron did an excellent job on our new construction home. He was on time and very thorough. He spent about 5.5 hrs when others would have spent 2 hrs. I like the way his report sheet laid out the items in color priority with photos. He caught things and the builder will be fixing the items before we sign, the roof, a build up of water, slope grades of gutters, and caulking around our sink, plus misc little things. I appreciate his hard work and will be using him again if needed in the future! Very reasonable. (I got 10 estimates total from others) If you are buying and building a new home, you MUST get a private inspector. Super glad we listened to this advice as first time home buyers. Thanks Ron for your hard and detailed work!
As a retired Captain Firefighter/EMT, I have been on too many scenes where people's homes were burning, many times to the ground, and their life long and most dearest possessions and pictures go literally going up in smoke right before their eyes. Their tears, their disbelief and how their reactions are repeated over and over as they thought of the different things that were now gone forever. Very sad. We do what we can, but... As firefighters we always try to save everything we can from the people to the pets but it doesn't always work out for the good. The tears and wails when they know they've lost one or more loved ones now perished in the flames. Tragedies all. I can safely say that a home inspection could literally save lives and homes. Maybe even SAVE YOURS! Here's how I see it; I'd have to say that of all residential structure fires, an easy 90% of them COULD HAVE BEEN PREVENTED! Out of that 90%, not quite 1/3 were caused by careless human action, pets, appliance neglect, etc. All the rest I'd say, could have been prevented with a professional home inspection done by somebody knowledgeable in all the areas of electrical and plumbing, (Yes, I've seen fires caused by bad plumbing!) as well as structural, geological, rodent and insect detection, etc. Richard Blackburn is that kind of Home Inspector. A good home inspection is not only a smart preliminary to a home purchase, but also for the long-term homeowner as well! Think about it. Maybe you've lived in your home for many years now. Are you sure all the wiring is still safe? That the hvac in good working order? The roof isn't about to come down on you or there isn't some black mold growing in rotted flooring. Don't you think it would be better to make sure everything about your family castle is safe for you and your family? Or if it's NOT safe, that Blackburn Home Inspection found it in time? I honestly don't say all this intending for it to be a scare tactic in any way. I say all this because of the all too often brutal reality of what has been my experience so that you won't find yourself being one of those standing out amongst the firehoses and smoke watching everything they love...or worse...go up in the flames. You should call Blackburn Home Inspection and have Richard give you the peace of mind you need. It might even save your life! I was not approached or requested and I say all of this on and of my own accord. -Bob Klink CPT FF/EMT (ret.)
My husband and I are first time home buyers so the inspection was very important. I sent an email to Tushay Home Inspection from the website, less than an hour and/or 30 minutes Kayden returned my email and sent me a text message. This was a thursday. On Tuesday he was at the house inspecting it. Prior to his arrival I sent him a text detailing all of my concerns. He told me what he could and could not do. When we arrived at the home on Tuesday morning, Kayden was there before us and already working. We scanned every crack, crevice and closet. Nothing was undone. He explained everything to us. He went above and beyond. When we were done, we went back to the basement for another rough scan of the place. Kayden was so great that the sellers broker said he wanted to hire him or use him for inspections. Kayden is a first time home buyers dream. Very professional, extremely honest, he teaches you as he inspects. When you're done you are a well-informed and knowledgeable owner. When the inspection was over we sat in the car and spoke a bit about what we discovered. That evening, I got a call from Kayden he wanted to know if I saw the report. Talk about FAST!!! I would recommend Kayden to any and everyone looking for an inspector. I trust him. let me repeat that I TRUST him. He's is a genuine person and a really, really AWESOME person. I'm glad that we had a chance to meet. I want to thank yelp for allowing people to post their comments because I would have never hired Kayden if not for yelp customers. So thank you guys!! Kayden if you're reading this, you are the BEST!!
My experience with Custom Touch Electric was excellent. They showed up on time to bid on my project and showed up on time to complete the work on my project as agreed. The change out and movement of my service panel took 2 days as estimated with all the agreed requirements being completed. The building inspector showed up the next day and after two minutes signed off the work. I will be asking them to bid on future work.
Ms.Vicky is extremely detailed on her inspection. And she explains all the questions we asked. She definitely take pride in her work. She also has very good advice on how to make improvements. Thanks Vicki and God bless!
The inspector was very respectful with hus time and willing to answer any questions. He was thorough and came on short notice. He gave us confidence of a job well done.
Working with Huskies Inspections & Remodeling was an absolute pleasure! Our inspector, Amandeep Manku, arrived at the appointment right on time and had a great attitude. He seemed to take great care in making sure inspections are done thoroughly, but also in a timely manner. He gave me a wonderful detailed report of the structure and repairs that need to be made that is easy to understand and proved very useful in the negotiation of purchasing my new property. I will DEFINITELY be referring this company to my friends and family.
Great Job, Pete. I would recommend you to others. Thanks for being reasonably priced, punctual, caring, and thorough! A home inspector is really important. You did a great job.
During a real estate inspection our inspector found signs of rodents, I got Joel's card from the home inspector, we called him and he was out the next day. He was wonderful to work with. I've been in real estate 20 years, I have worked with lots of exterminators, he is a cut above. I have never had anyone pay so much attention to details, and show us pictures of issues the home inspector missed. I am so glad we found him
Showed up on time and appeared knowledgeable. His timely and detailed inspection was useful during the home purchase and negotiation process. Only concern: The inspector started a few minutes early and prior to my arrival so I was not present during his inspection of the roof. I didn't see a ladder in use at any time, though this may have occurred prior to my arrival.
Boggs inspection is the most reliable home inspection company I have come across. They were fast and straight to the point. They even saved me from getting into a bad deal when buying a home. I would recommend Boggs for all of your property buying needs.
Bob did an excellent job on the inspection for our new home. He was very thorough and we really appreciated the time he took to explain his findings. Based on his report, we felt confident that we were getting a good home for the price and it allowed us to create a prioritized to-do list for after we move in. I recommend him highly.

I specialize in thorough residential inspections, with a special emphasis on preventative maintenance and safety issues. I have over 25 years of high-end construction and older home restoration experience, with an advanced degree in architecture and urban planning, and as a journeyman carpenter. During the last six years, have extended my range of inspections to include home replacement cost inspections, liability, and FNMA bank inspections- have become quite familiar with areas of concern for both lending and insurance institutions. During inspections, when repairs and corrections are required, I especially enjoy providing cost-effective solutions to those issues, and suggestions regarding the best repair subcontractors, and provide follow up consultations, if desired.
