Paul and Stephanie catered our wedding this summer and we were very pleased with their professionalism, the taste, quality, and presentation of their food, and their dedication in helping us realize our wedding vision. I was first contacted by them on Thumbtack in response to our request for a wedding caterer. We had already exhausted options from The Knot Vendor List and had been both overwhelmed with prices and underwhelmed with food taste and quality. Paul and Stephanie reached out to us quoting a plated meal including beef and fish for the same price as the cheap chicken buffets we'd been experiencing. They were kind enough to visit us in our home where Chef prepared generous samples of all the dishes we were considering. While we were eating, Stephanie took down details on the wedding and presentation. The food was phenomenal and hands down better than any other samples we'd been given. Chef even bustled about in my kitchen and found my Tupperware so he could package up the leftovers and leave them in the fridge for us. We decided to also take advantage of their pastry side and get our cupcakes for our dessert table from them. Stephanie hand delivered them to my work so I could sample them with the Fiancé. Chef did a great job at making me feel comfortable with everything he was preparing with his knowledge of gluten free cooking and baking and comprehension of cooking safety for individuals with Celiac. Nearly all our item we ordered were gluten free, and the ones that weren't, were kept separate. The months leading up to the wedding was simple and easy communication, I wish I could have said this for all my vendors. Payments expectations were made clear and could be easily made by credit card. Stephanie made time to have two additional consultations to discuss food plating, food table decorations, and cupcake topping design. I supplied her with a binder and the weekend before the wedding she had a phone consultation with me to review the details and it was evident she had already looked at all the contents extensively. The day of the wedding the catering team was on point. They jumped in and took over many of the duties our wedding coordinator was not attending to including setting up our appetizer and dessert tables and guest tables to my design plan. The food was excellent and all of our guests have said they couldn't stop stuffing themselves with delicious noms. The plating was lovely, the cupcake toppings were just as I'd envisioned, and the waitstaff and bartender were very attentive. Stephanie was present at the wedding and Chef Paul had prepared most of the food but was catering another event. I was so pleased with her and her staff and her attention to detail and hard work helping us create our day. They packed up all the leftovers for us and we were told they were the last vendors there still working hard at helping everyone clean up. If you are looking at catering a large event do yourself a favor and check out Paul and Stephanie. They are not only a great chef and planner duo, they are also incredibly kind and compassionate individuals. One of my biggest regrets is that I didn't know Stephanie was also a wedding coordinator, I wish I would have hired her instead of the girl we did. Additionally, their prices are more than reasonable and worth every penny.

I enthusiastically recommend Nola and her team. I hosted a unique event at my home and my main goal was to make the guests feel appreciated and special. Thanks to Nola, every guest loved the delicious food--young and old, and different cultural backgrounds. There was a theme to the menu and each had its unique flavor, texture and color; she even created a recipe for a new dish. Nola brought floral décor to compliment mine. Nola consulted on layout and best flow to the event order. Nola was a gracious hostess and made everyone feel taken care of. They cleaned the kitchen, guests' service ware and put the leftovers on my own dishes so I had nothing left to do. I hope to have the opportunity to have them cater again soon.

I recently had Bobby prepare a small dinner party for my husband's birthday. From the moment I contacted him, he was prompt with his replies and took the time to answer my questions. His ideas for the menu were great and he was receptive to any changes or additions that I requested. On the day of our meal, Bobby was awesome. He prepared a wonderful meal while carrying on an interesting conversation with all of us. We learned some useful tips from him. The food was expertly prepared, beautifully presented, and delicious. My husband highly recommends trying Bobby's bread pudding. The other part of Bobby's service is cleaning up the kitchen and doing all the dishes. It was really nice to not have to worry about any of that and he did a great job. I would highly recommend Bobby Greene to anyone thinking about using an in-home chef. He is the best!!

We had a fabulous wedding and Tara was a large part of making that a reality. Tara is detail oriented, flexible, and most of all, an amazing chef! I enjoyed working with her and would recommend her to anyone looking for great food at a reasonable price for their event. While looking for a caterer, I found many quotes excluded significant costs such as Chef time, server time, etc. One quote doubled once these were added to the estimate. Not so with Tara. Her quote was accurate. She was upfront about the total price per plate and there were no surprise costs. Tara provided a tasting that was VERY reasonably priced. We brought along a couple friends for opinions and were blown away by the feast before us. There were appetizers, a salad, at least three main courses, and four or five sides. The tasting really showcased Tara’s talents and made it easy to choose her as our caterer. Once we had booked with Tara, she was available to discuss our menu as our needs evolved. When we added extra rentals and food to our contract, Tara took everything in stride and made it work. On the day of our wedding, everything went smoothly. We have received praise from multiple friends and family one of whom described her food as “Top notch”. Our day of coordinator told me she enjoyed working with Tara and would recommend her to future clients. Thank you Tara for being so wonderful to work with and making our day one to remember!

I am from Montreal visiting some friends in Seattle who had a baby a few weeks ago. As a gift to them we decided to hire a private chef to come in and cook a meal for us in their home so that we wouldn't have to worry about going out with a new born baby to a nice dinner. That is how I stumbled upon Thumbtack and Ken. Dinner was absolutely delicious and Ken is fantastic and very personable! Everything was such a breeze. Nichole put together a delicious birthday brunch menu for me and 5 of my girlfriends. The dishes she prepared were creative and fresh. For example the Mediterranean Cucumber Cups were a perfect appetizer, and the Mini Spinach & Feta Frittatas were a hit. Nichole also made a Chocolate Guinness Cake with Coconut Frosting that was a big hit at my party! She arrived on time and took care of the clean-up after everything was done. She's very detail-oriented and organized. Everything was perfect! I highly recommend Nichole to anyone who considers hiring a private chef for their event.

Working with chef Patty at Fresh Every Thyme Personal Cef Service was the BEST decision I made when planning my family reunion! Our family likes to have fun during the day with various activities and come together for dinner every night. Patty worked with me to choose the menus for each night, she did the grocery shopping, much of the food prep, and then stocked our refrigerator. All we had to do was warm and serve!     I have worked with Melody on several different occasions and absolutely adore her and her work. Melody caters to my wants and very specific dietary needs (I am a gluten-free, vegan who also loves raw food), and everything she makes tastes like heaven! I am impressed by her attention to detail and her ability to make simple food taste so amazing. She has created special desserts and meals for me that have completely blown me away.     Event catering is a broad term that covers everything from fully prepared, ready-to-eat food that the hosts plate and serve themselves to full-service, multicourse meals, including rental of linens, glassware and other items, with service staff organized by the catering company. Usually a caterer will determine cost based on the type of event you’re having, how many guests will attend, the level of service you desire, and what type of menu you’d like to have. For example, if you have a set catering budget, say $1,500, and you plan to have 50 people attend, that means you have $30 per person for food. If you have the same budget with 100 people, you have $15 per person for food.
