I've just started personal training with Bailee but so far she's been very helpful in helping me achieve my goals. I am coming from a home gym and wanted to expand my strength training to include the use of of a squat rack, barbells and pull ups. She is teaching me proper technique and how to lift safely. She also writes me programs to do at home with my current equipment. Once I get a good handle on the new equipment, I will invest in some pieces for my own gym and continue to train at home. Baileee really takes the time to understand your personal goals, abilities and lifestyle and designs an effective program around your needs. She's also very flexible. I recommend her to anyone.

I am so infinitely happy I found Martin and Optimize Fit. I’ve worked with several personal trainers over the years, and Martin is BY FAR the best. You should hire these people, and I’m going to tell you why: 1. Martin is focused on functional strength. Flexibility, mobility, and overall well-being are just as important in his training as fitness and strength. His background includes extensive A&P education as well as physical therapy and injury rehabilitation, so Martin’s first priority is that the whole body (e.g. joints, tendons) is protected and improved while muscles are built. For me, a person with chronic back pain and really poor ankles, this is huge. Martin’s approach means that I get to enjoy more of the activities I love while also becoming stronger and healthier. 2. Martin is amazing and so fun to be around! While he is very professional, he is so encouraging and easy-going. Even when the training is difficult, I still feel like I’m spending time with a friend. It makes the workouts so much more enjoyable than any gym session. Martin visits my home, and—I’m telling you—I think my dog likes him more than he likes me. Martin is always on time, usually exactly 3-4 minutes early, and he is sensitive to my work-from-home meetings schedule if I have meetings surrounding our allocated time. Although I have some gym equipment in my basement, Martin always brings additional equipment specifically tailored for my workout, which is different every time. 3. The workouts are the right mix of achievable and difficult. I never dread them even when I’m not feeling my best or having a bad few days mentally or physically. Every week, Martin comes with a new routine built for me based on my intended outcomes, and I’m frequently doing movements I have never done before with any other trainer nor by myself. This is not the typical curls-press-lat pulldown superset followed by a squat-deadlift-hamstring superset. Not at all. Martin is very intentional about doing single-leg activities because (and it never occurred to me until he said it) we are so rarely doing any exertion on both legs at the same time.
