I am an new musician and an adult learner. I am taking bass guitar lessons from Scott. He is my second instructor, and I plan to take lessons from him for a long time as I grow as a musician. Scott is amazing!!! He has met me where I am in my knowledge, and breaks it all down in understandable manageable pieces. I love theory, and he thorough understanding is evidenced in his easy to follow delivery. I am improving quickly and I definitely credit Scott for my improvement. Scott is certainly as competent and more fun than any college professor I have had. I love him and recommend him for classes. But... my time slot is reserved and taken. Enjoy.
Jan's piano lessons are a great option for young Learners who want to learn the basics of the piano. She has a wealth of material from which to teach both classical theory and practice.
Theo was very prompt and well-worded in our communications, and set me up with a tutor in my area quickly. I'm looking forward to more of my Japanese language lessons!
We unfortunately only attended one of Bryan's drum lessons .(only because my four year old wouldn't practice). Bryan was great! He even had on Aladdin, upon us arriving which made my daughter extra comfortable. It was a great ice breaker for them to talk about. I would absolutely recommend Bryan to anyone needing drum lessons ages kids to adult.
Before working with Ryan, I didn't know what to look for in a guitar instructor. Now, it's clear and will be a challenge for me to ever find a comparable teacher. An instructor who is invested in his personal craft and also in his teaching, who works full-time as an instructor and continually improves his practice of teaching -- these are but some of what you'll find working with Ryan. As a classroom teacher, I appreciate the complexity of differentiation and this is a foundation of Ryan's group classes. Ryan is able to see his students as the musicians they WILL be, and this shines through in the high expectations he has in his lessons and curriculum. Happy learning!
All the above. I love the way Janina approached my 3 year old granddaughter on her first day. She was very professional and made my g/daughter feel comfortable when we met her on the first day. I would recommend Janina's piano lessons to all children of different backgrounds who are interested in learning to play the piano. She was awesome and very patient.
My daughter loves her guitar lessons with Scott, they are getting along well :) Excited about what lies ahead :)
Jonny works well with my ten year old daughter and she really enjoys taking lessons with him. He is encouraging, positive and relates to her by asking which artists she likes and the songs she loves to listen to. She thinks it's pretty cool when she can play a Taylor Swift song!
Elaine is very patient with my daughter. My daughter loves to go to piano lessons because Elaine makes learning fun for kids. I would highly recommend her to anyone. She want kids to learn and is tough when she needs to be but wants them to have a good and fun experience as well.
We've been working with Ken since September for our 11 year old's electric guitar lessons. We've been pleased with Ken's professionalism, structure and teaching style. Our son has learned a great deal in a short time after being away from lessons for two years and enjoys his lessons a lot. Ken is a great guy to work with and the studio is a nice place for private lessons. We've had the opportunity to meet a few of his other students around my son's lesson times, and it's clear that Ken is able to teach and work with a wide variety of ages and levels. We give Ken our highest recommendation.
I really enjoy music lessons with Jacob, I've had several teachers and he is by far the easiest to work with and to learn from. He's a great guitar player and keeps the lessons fun, he also does a good job at making sure that what I'm practicing has something to do with what I'm interested in. I've had teachers in the past that did not make guitar interesting, Jacob is great, well worth the money! I'm much better than I was before I started with him.
We have had only one lesson with Miss Laleh so far but my son really enjoyed it and we look forward to more lessons in the future.
My daughter has only had two lessons with Aaron, so I do not have a long term relationship to base my review on. However, I can say that Aaron was very prompt at returning my emails and phone calls . Very professional in how he approached making financial arrangements and scheduling our lessons. He provided references for me to check with. He offered a complementary initial lesson. And perhaps most important, when I pick up my daughter from her lesson she has a smile on her face and says Aaron is very nice.
When I didn't have the money to pay for vocal lessons my daughters freshman year he put her in his open spots free of cost. He knew her talents and we appreciate his work with her.
As a beginner level adult student, I've found that Sergey was a great teacher, giving me lots of useful tips to continue practising in my own time between lessons. Sergey has a lot of enthusiasm and passion for music and the piano which gave me more motivation to learn and continue learning. If my stay in Seattle was not so short I would have continued weekly lessons with him.
My 7 year old daughter has been taking lessons from Heather for the better part of a year, and has made huge progress. Heather provides challenge and structure, and my daughter has learned a lot. Especially noteable is how fluent my daughter now is in sight-reading music -- kudos to Heather. I highly recommend her!
Our daughter has taken voice lessons with Aaron for about 3 years and really loves her time in his studio. Aaron has a wonderful ability to connect and has really helped her become the confident singer she is today. Bitterlake Studio is an extremely warm, positive, safe and inspriring environment and Aaron is the most supportive teacher. He is a very talented musician and a passionate and artistic person. His presence puts her at ease with a confidence to explore her strenghts and weaknesses. We are so grateful for Aaron making it a challenging but very fun learning experience for our daughter.
Becca is very energetic, kind and good at teaching. She taught me theory and skills in a balanced way, which became my musical foundation. in addition, her interaction and teaching skill is very good. I was very happy learning piano from her
The introductory lesson that I had with Ben was excellent. I've been playing for 7 months, and Ben did a wonderful job teaching me new ways to finger chords that Ive been having trouble with. He is a nice guy, and I will be taking lessons with him regularly.
I went from barely understanding piano to understanding it so much that I could sit down and teach my self a song, or listen to piano music and then play it. I’ve only been taking lessons for a few months too. Holly personalizes lessons that fit your interests in music and your exact needs to help you exhilarate! Piano is a language and most piano teachers only teach part of the language, but Holly teaches every single part of the language of piano.
I've had 2 lessons with Daniel. Not only is he punctual, professional, and clearly, very knowledgable about piano and music theory, but he is also an excellent teacher and generous with time and materials. He has a calm demeanor and is a very clear communicator. I feel lucky to have been placed with Daniel, and hope to continue working with him for a while.
