FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I always offer a free Functional Movement Screen and Introductory session before asking anyone to think about paying me. I really want my students to know what they are paying for before making such a large financial commitment. For FIRST TIME clients, I run a special where you can purchase any number of sessions for a flat rate of $50.00/session. My normal rate is $80.00/session.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
1) Initial consultation (includes goal setting and medical history review. Written physician's approval may be required in some cases). 2) Functional Movement Screen. This allows me to see how you move through a series of 7 movements designed by Dr. Gray Cook and Dr. Lee Burton's FMS system. I will look for postural deviations and movements that can cause pain. 3) Walk-through of a full body warm-up designed by the GFM organization. 4) Introductory workout specific to your goals and needs. 5) If we continue, I will build you a program that is fun, realistic, and eventually something you feel confident doing on your own. Bring a notebook as I like to write down everything we do. I also will provide online resources such as my Facebook page, and my YouTube channel where I can make specific videos for you on movements you have questions about.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am currently a certified FMS Level 2 and GFM Functional Movement Coach, SFG Kettlebell Coach, USAW Olympic and Sports Performance Coach, and a TFW Conditioning Coach. I will have a Bachelores of Science in Exercise Science. I also have performed a research study approved by the Washington State IRB committee, but decided to not pursue publication. My job requires constant learning. Exercise Science is constantly evolving, so I believe it is crucial to stay on top of the latest research.
