FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Payment is taken on my site which makes it very straightforward. 1 hour or 30 minute sessions are available.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Fitness: First are the introductions, so I can get to know your background and goals for the future. Then physical assessment so I know what fitness tools I can use with you and what movements we need to begin working on. Next is setting up your lifestyle habits to suit your goals, and find ways to bridge or redirect certain habit patterns. We then set up our schedule for future meetings and let the process work its magic! Martial Arts: For Self defense we meet and I will also assess your fitness level, because having a more efficient body means being a more efficient martial artist. Then we will go over martial arts skill drills to aid your progress in actual sparring scenarios. We will meet regularly building upon your skills each time. Given enough time you will start to see and feel your body control and skills improve. At this point we can continue to improve your skills or we can challenge you by testing yourself in sparring. This is important, because it gives you the opportunity to grow and face challenges head on, which will translate to life.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I started off as an aspiring physical therapy assistant student. I really enjoyed the idea of being a personal trainer and aiding people in a similar manner to therapy, but with a more holistic viewpoint. I am currently certified under the National Academy of Sports Medicine as a personal trainer, and a Fitness Nutrition Specialist under the American Council on Exercise. I have five years of experience in Gracie jiu-jitsu and five years of experience training in amateur boxing.
