Fantastic experience working with Janet. My 13-year-old daughter is the student. She's never had a singing lesson and no one would call her a natural and she lacked confidence she needed to put herself out there for auditions. After just her first lesson with Janet she had a sense of confidence about her voice that I had never seen in her. Janet asked me to come to pick up my daughter a few minutes early just so that I would have a chance to see how she did. With Janet's accompaniment on the piano, she started singing the song she was working toward auditioning with. Ok... I admit I can be an emotional guy about my daughters, but I was crying after her first verse. In just two more lessons, she called me excitedly while I was traveling to tell me that she "had a break through". I don't know what else I need to love Janet as a teacher for my daughter.
We unfortunately only attended one of Bryan's drum lessons .(only because my four year old wouldn't practice). Bryan was great! He even had on Aladdin, upon us arriving which made my daughter extra comfortable. It was a great ice breaker for them to talk about. I would absolutely recommend Bryan to anyone needing drum lessons ages kids to adult.
Jeremy has just started having lessons with my tween son. We have done a sample class and start regular lessons next week. My son had his first class and as soon as it was over told me that Jeremy was "awesome".
Jordan is friendly, professional, and supportive. She uses music that I'm passionate about in order to teach the skills and fine tune technique. If you are thinking about singing for the first time or hoping to expand your present skills, Jordan is the right teacher for you!
Having been into singing for around 5 years now, I've found out about a market of products created for the purpose of studying the art of singing at home. Being a serious student of singing, I decided to invest in one of these programs to supplement my lessons. Singing Success got me absolutely nowhere. After a couple of weeks, I completely stopped using it, because there was no direction. Around 2 years later, I decided to try out CVT. It offers a book, along with recorded exercises. It was much better, but it still felt like something was missing. How was I to make sure I was doing everything right? The forum was dead. I had been studying singing for a few years, and this was something still on my mind; not having somebody ensure you were practicing the program properly. I cannot imagine how much less confident an absolute beginner might have felt, facing the same thing. Around a year later, I stumbled upon The Modern Vocalist Forum. Observed Robert Lunte provide very detailed feedback on several submissions by aspiring singers. I was pretty impressed with how things were broken down. I had already known about The Four Pillars of Singing, for a while, and I thought it wasn't for me. After seeing an explanation on how it could be used to transform your head voice into something that sounded strong, while still retaining full use of falsetto, I was intrigued enough to take the plunge. After a few months of ownership, I have absolutely no regrets. The Four Pillars of Singing is the only system out there that offers a comprehensive book, video tutorials, and an active forum, where anything can be clarified by the man himself. You can tell this is something made by somebody who cares. It's a completely foolproof method. Whether you're an absolute beginner who desperately needs guidance, or like me, you've been at it a little while, and you're looking for a way to take things to the next level. There's enough depth and science involved in this that even a voice expert can appreciate this system. As an owner of The Four Pillars of Singing, you're not just the owner of a vocal program that you can use at home; you are a student of TVS methodology, and you will no longer be left to figure things out on your own. It's the closest thing to having a voice coach without actually signing up for lessons. It's all laid out right in front of you, and there's nothing left to do but practice.
I've been than taking lessons from Peggy for more than a decade. I've found her to be very knowledgeabie and able to communicate that knowledge very well. She is very patient and encouraging. She always challenges me and I need that.
Aaron is incredible! Creative, patient, kind, and so talented. He has been working with my son for five years and has a very encouraging, positive, nurturing teaching style. If you are looking for someone who will not teach from a lesson book, will let your child play the music they want to play, encourage them to compose their own music, and push them to be the best they can be--then Aaron is your guy!
I have parent some much from Sami. Has taught me how to sing higer and also how to really use my voice and not sing with such a nasel tone . He has gave me a lot of knowledge about the guitar like how riffs are written. Overall he's help me become a better artist and if i could i would give him more then 5
Started taking singing lessons with Maddy as a complete beginner. She's been so kind, patient, and supportive and is wonderful about explaining how the voice works. I highly recommend her!!
I love working with Erica! Prior to taking lessons from her, I had no experience singing and was absolutely terrified of it. Erica really took the time to help me identify strengths & weaknesses in my voice & helped me improve hugely! I definitely recommend her!
Our 10 year daughter has been under Shireen's tutelage for almost two years, and is already becoming a fine pianist. She is also turning into a very good vocalist! Shireen has never been anything but positive, helpful, and understanding. She is always very thoughtful in the way she teaches. She explains everything, and why it is important, making it easy for the child to understand WHY. She expects the same courtesy, punctuality, and attendance from her students, that she herself gives 100% of the time. We couldn't be happier with the choice we have made for our daughter's piano and voice lessons. Highly recommend!!
Vannessa has been providing voice lessons to my 10 year old for a month now and the student is enjoying them immensly.
Melanie Stevens has taught my daughter piano for years. She is a talented musician and a gifted teacher. I have been very impressed with her ability to adapt her teaching to “where my daughter is” at any given time. She is very kind, extremely patient, and makes the lessons fun. I feel so fortunate to have found her and look forward to continuing lessons as my daughter progresses with piano.
Cappella Performing Arts Academy has been amazing at providing quality lessons for my children. They encourage all the children to work hard and help them to reach their full potential.
I've been taking voice lessons with Christine for a few months now, and it's been an amazing experience. I'm a total and absolute beginner, but Christine knows perfectly well how to teach beginners (or people at any level for that matter, since she has a degree in music education). In a few months we've already seen noticeable improvement in my voice. Christine's been helping me develop the correct vocal technique right from the beginning, so that I don't develop bad habits that are difficult to correct later. She is also an outstanding teacher - she immediately notices/hears my mistakes, no matter how subtle, and corrects me right away. Or if she notices me getting tired, she stops the lesson right away, even if I don't notice it myself. These are very important things for a beginner in my opinion. She also shows me many tricks (both physical and psychological) that I can use to make my voice do the right thing. And she has a variety of exercises that help with different aspects of developing your voice. Finally, she's a great person to work with - very cool-minded, always smiling/laughing/joking, never yells or gets angry, calmly moves on to something else if one thing doesn't work, and has the rare and wonderful ability to point out mistakes without making you feel bad. She is also a very good listener - always willing to answer my questions/comments. At a personal level, she's a fun and interesting person to get to know, and talk to. I think everybody can benefit from voice lessons, even if you think you're no good at singing. And I think Christine is perfect for the job. I highly recommend her!
I have been taking voice lessons with Heather since the end of March, and it has been a wonderful experience. Heather is a dedicated teacher who is always considering the way I learn and trying to incorporate new approaches to help me gain mastery. She provides lots of extra support outside of lessons as well if I have questions. The notes she provides after each lesson as well as the warm up videos and backing tracks are so helpful with my practice. Be prepared to work hard if you want to make a difference in your singing. Heather has helped me knock down unrealistic expectations (everyone on the radio is "airbrushed", people!) while building up a strong foundation for proper technique. Singing is not easy, but with practice, hard work, and an excellent teacher like Heather you can see a lot of rewarding progress. I look forward to my lesson every week and am so glad I hired Heather.
I have been taking lessons with Emory for just about 4 months now. these lessons have been transformative for me! I had always dreamed of being able to improvise when I sang and now I can! They create an amazingly welcoming environment, you'll feel right at home with them as your teacher!
M.Alex is an excellent voice instructor! I spent years trying to sing, never fully realizing that my technique was way off and potentially damaging. He's been very patient with me as I've worked on re-training my voice, applying just enough pressure to keep me motivated without causing me undue stress. His calm demeanor and sense of humor help make our lessons relaxing and fun, yet he balances that well with a professional determination to get results. He knows a lot about vocal anatomy, which allowed him to customize his approach to my circumstances, devising routines and exercises that have enabled me to overcome the bad singing habits I've developed. Yet he also knows enough to know the boundaries of his own knowledge: after hearing certain qualities in my voice, he recommended that I work with a speech therapist, as well. This was a very wise recommendation, and my continued work with him was even more effective as a result of the support of the speech therapist. M.Alex is knowledgeable, flexible, patient, and professional. I highly recommend him!

Clarice is a wonderful find of a teacher and coach. She helped me to prepare for a Mahler audition that was out of my comfort zone (I've mostly done Baroque repertoire, and Mahler sounds so much better when you're 50). She helped me to really get in touch with my core breathing, and to sing a legato line like you never get in early music. She also gave really good coaching advice on things like color and brightness of tone, with thoughts of making it cut through a thick texture. I really liked the advice "pp is a color, not a volume." I have yet to hear about my audition results, but unlike many, I felt really good about how I sang. I'm looking forward to more lessons with Clarice so that I can keep on singing healthily for the next 20 years into my 70s.
My 6 year old daughter takes private piano and singing lessons from Katie and we have had the best experience! She is so sweet, kind and patient. Plus extremely talented. My daughter is already playing the piano with 2 hands and singing up a storm. I would highly recommend Katie and actually have already referred her to my other friends!

I have a gift for helping singers connect with their voices. Once they make that connection, they can always sing well.
