Steph is a great yoga instructor! Before starting her class, she asked what we would like to focus on and has really tailored the classes to our needs. Every class we focus on a different area, or learn a new stretch or pose. The variation keeps the classes fun and fresh and always has me counting down the days until the next week! Steph also has a great selection of music!! I am newer to practicing yoga and Steph has definitely inspired me to continue being a "yogi" :)
I have been training with Shana for over a year now. She's an awesome trainer and really makes the workouts fun and entertaining! She continues to come up with new exercises and it's a great balance between weights, cardio, core work and some yoga. I would encourage anyone interested in getting fit or increasing their endurance to signup for some PT sessions.
Krystle is a knowledgeable and fun teacher. She is supportive and friendly and helps students feel confident and secure in their practice, whether it is for yoga or a belly dance class. Krystle takes the time to show and explain to students the proper way to do poses and moves to keep them safe and also what the benefits are instead of just expecting them to do as they are told. She lets them know how what they are doing effects the body.
Liberty possesses a unique ability to teach basic skills, as well as the ability to create high level programming specific to each individual athlete's needs. He has extensive knowledge in functional body weight exercises, Olympic lifting, movement, yoga and nutrition. I've been impressed not only with his emphasis on technique, but also with his focus on movements and exercises designed to increase mobility and alignment, and prevent injuries. He has extensive experience in working with people of all athletic abilities. If you are looking to push yourself and have fun, I highly recommend training with Liberty Hodges.

Blackbird Family Yoga was created with the entire family in mind. We provide a broad variety of adult yoga classes (with childcare offered), yoga with baby, prenatal yoga classes, parent-child yoga, yoga classes for preschool, school age children, as well as teens, and a family class for all at the same time! We desire to be more than simply another yoga studio. It's our goal to develop a wonderful community of people who are family-oriented who just happen to enjoy yoga. Blackbirds small class sizes (with a lot of specialized attention) considerably add to the community sense we work for. Our comfortable Middleton Hills area provides enough parking, and a lot of various nearby amenities for your use, before or after your yoga class, or even during your child's yoga class.

I have been practicing yoga regularly (average 6 hours a week) for over 5 years so I have a stronger personal energy than the average newly certified yoga teacher. I also have a better understanding of the mind body connection from studying somatic psychology and Oriental medicine. I understand how the body is meant to move and bend. I treat my clients with respect and compassion and push them to be the best they can be.
I do beginning yoga, stretching, breathing and flowing. I modify every pose to make anyone of any level feel comfortable.
I teach with a gentle, compassionate style; yet each class is thorough and includes all muscle groups. I have a great sense of humor and encouraging manner.

Yoga is such a wonderful compliment to any health regimen. I am very comfortable working with people with autoimmune diseases and food sensitivities.

I am a Crystal Lake based yoga instructor, teaching group and private lessons throughout the Northwest Suburbs. With only three tools, your breath, mind and body, it is my hope that I can help others find inner peace and cultivate more love, happiness and gratitude. As a teacher, I want to empower people to know that everything they need to succeed is already inside them. I'm so thankful for the opportunity to teach others the practice of yoga, to help bring a tiny bit of peace to every person I meet and to continually grow each day.
Here at Free Soul Yoga and Meditation, we lead you through yoga classes for any level (even very beginner) all shapes, sizes and ages.
My goal is to teach and convey mental and emotional harmony by creating a flow with the breath and movement, encouraging strength through the body and mind. My joy is to teach classes in sequences that will best suit you and your group while giving you the most benefits (stress relief, flexibility, muscle tone, etc.).
I am currently teaching at LifeTime Fitness in Algonquin, IL. Unfortunately, I am only on the sub list and would like to teach on a regular basis.
