My husband and I contracted Designing Elements to do various home improvements. I was so impressed with what she had done that we recommended her to our neighbor who had their home in the market. Designing Elements staged their home and it helped add to a quicker sale and higher price. My house feel positively refreshed when Laura comes to clean! Laura is not only thorough and detailed in her cleaning efforts, she is also very observant in noticing if anything in the house needs any attention from a handyman, plumber, etc. I appreciate that Laura takes the time to clean out the fridge, organize the cabinets, polish the door handles and check all the corners for cobwebs. When using Laura to clean your current home or for any move out clean, you can rest assured you will return to a very spotless and pristine place.

        The skill and attention to detail that Charley took in the construction of a 2.5 car garage attached to our newly built home is very impressive. He takes pride in a job well done---from concrete to siding, to roofing. Afterwards, we wish he had been available to take part in a greater portion of our home build. He left the area spotless, unlike the other contractors who left nails, staples, trash, and boards strewn all over, It may be their work space today, but later, our grandchildren's safety was a concern. In addition, to create a quality project, Charley often fixed the poor install of others, especially if it affected the integrity of his project. He always kept us apprised of any issues and stayed on schedule. We are very pleased with his work and would recommend him as someone who still believes in quality and exceptional customer service.

        What does it mean to stage a home?

        Home staging is the real estate strategy of decorating your home to be as marketable as possible to your target demographic. Home staging is done by interior decorators and other design pros hired by the homeowner or realtor, prior to putting a house on the market. Think of it as setting the stage for potential buyers to fall more easily in love with their future homes — and to spend top dollar to get them. It’s likely to be worth the investment: The Real Estate Staging Association reports that staged homes spend 90 percent less time on the market than those that are not staged. Home stagers can also be hired even if you’re not going anywhere. Stagers can consult on new layouts for your current home, much like an interior decorator.

        How much does it cost to stage a home for sale?

        Nationally, the price for home staging ranges between $750 and $1,500. The price varies based on how many rooms in the house need staging, whether furniture and decor are needed or the stager can work with the client’s belongings, whether the home is occupied or vacant, and the sale price of the home. Occupied homes typically cost less to stage as they are already furnished, and can require less time and resources than staging an empty house. The main tasks when staging an occupied home are rearranging and decluttering. Staging an empty house can be more expensive as furniture and decor need to be trucked in, requiring transportation, physical labor and potential rental fees. Here are some examples of average home staging costs:
