After a shoulder replacement in July 2019, I had some complications. It took 8 different specialists and a whole dermatology team to figure out I was a medical mystery. For much of July 2019 to Nov 2020, I was on heavy pain meds and steroids. That along with the Covid lock down just gave me a reason to not care & I packed on the weight. Once I was on the road to recovery, I found out I couldn’t fit in any of my clothes. At 54, I didn’t have shoulder surgery to be unhealthy so I knew I had to do something about it. I struggled trying to lose the weight but by December 2021, I finally lost about 50lbs starving on 1000 calories a day. Then came the worst part…I had to start exercising. Every night I would promise myself, “tomorrow will be the day I at least go for a walk.” That promise went unfulfilled for over a month. Upset with myself knowing I had to just do it, I also needed a motivator. After going to a few gyms & trainers and hearing their promises I came across Josiah in January 2022. We started with a call to discuss goals, what I needed in a trainer and exercises I’ve done in the past, to name a few. He then explained his program. He told me about his 24/7 availability and explained macros, accountability and the best part…. NO CARDIO! He did say that of course cardio is good for your heart and your overall health, but it wasn’t necessary to get me to my goal. He also explained that diet and cardio wouldn’t change the shape of my body but weightlifting would. The best part is after 1 years of training with Josiah I didn’t just hit my goal but I went beyond and have lost 100 pounds to date, completely changed the shape of my body, eat almost 1500/1700 calories all with his direction. We have now reached our 2 year of training together and not only do I still love lifting weights, I’ve maintained the same weight for over a year. A picture is worth a thousand words. As embarrassing as some of these pictures are, you can see the progress not only in my weight but also in my happiness.

Josiah has been an incredible trainer. Super inspiring, positive, and helpful, all while doing what we could do to make sure we did things safely while working out. I had a major accident outside of the gym that affected my shoulder and hip. Once I started working with Josiah, I went from using a walker and having limited mobility and evolved into lifting weights that I haven’t done for 20 years and I’m now fit enough to play tennis and dance with no limitations. Before the program I was also eating poorly and not exercising at all, now the opposite holds true. Thank you for making me strong again Josiah!

Josiah's attention to detail during our training sessions made the biggest difference. He makes the slightest corrections in posture/position and you can really feel the difference. He changes things up to keep it interesting and he was able to adjust my program when I had an unrelated injury and I could still keep working out. Josiah provided A great training program that focused on strength training. I never would have done this on my own. Having him keep me accountable in the workouts and counting calories was a big motivator. The coaching apps really helped me to stay accountable too. After working with Josiah I am definitely stronger, have more endurance, feel better, lost weight, and I now look forward to working out.

Before working with Josiah I was trying to lose my face/stomach fat. I got rid of some of it on my own but hit a point where I didn’t see progress anymore. Josiah explained everything amazingly. Created a plan for me right away and most importantly made it fun with the workout app and my fitness pal. It made getting into shape a lot less stressful. My confidence went through the roof and I’m not embarrassed to take my shirt off anymore. If there’s anyone looking for a coach Josiah is definitely the guy to get in contact with! He is very understanding and everything went smoothly while training with him.

As soon as I started working with Josiah my strength began to increase due to using a more effective training split. Almost right away my muscle growth began to increase again due to Josiah monitoring my calorie intake and adjusting it to suit my goals. My strength has increased significantly over this time to the point where I have exceeded any expectations I once had. People I had not seen for 6 months + noticed my progress. This was really motivating.
