In 2011, I joined the Phoenix College Community Choir. At that point, it had been over 40 years since I sang in any choir; I always figured "oh I can't sing. I don't read music well". But Kenny Miller gave a short speech in a class I was attending encouraging all students to join the choirs that PC offered. He had such enthusiasm that my curiosity was piqued and so I signed up for the Community Choir.
The rest is history: I joined a 2nd choir, I started voice lessons, I started trying out for solos, I PERFORMED solos and now I'm in the school's spring musical production.
I sincerely owe it all to the inspiration that Kenny Miller gives to his students. He has the ability to make you believe you can sing and in doing so, you learn that you, indeed, CAN sing. You have a wonderful time learning how to best use your voice.
"If Music Be Food of Love", sing on: this is Kenny's philosophy and it will become yours. I cannot recommend him highly enough.
