I recently completed one year at Strive Personal Fitness. Meeting Matt Jarvis and deciding that he was the man that I wanted to work with was perhaps one of the best decisions of my life. I walked through the doors of Strive Personal Fitness 25 pounds heavier along with heart and blood pressure issues. 61 years old at the time and I can honestly say "unfit." I don't know why but Matt believed in me from day one and as the weeks and months passed I started to believe in myself too. The physical challenges weren't easy but Matt taught me to let go of my self doubt, to dig deep and to constantly move forward. I appreciate that he challenges me as he brings me to physical heights I never dreamed could be possible. Every accomplishment brings a new goal. The health benefits I have achieved because of Matt continue to impress not only myself but my cardiologist too. The combination of exercise, healthy eating and weight loss has resulted in a drastic cut in blood pressure medication from a high to a minimal dose. Strive Personal Fitness is more than a gym ... it's a community created by Matt! I have met some amazing people who encourage, motivate and believe in each other. I would highly recommend anyone looking for a personal trainer to look no further than Matt Jarvis. If you want results ... he's the man!
These reason Matt is outstanding is his knowledge. Matt has two college degrees. One degree in fitness and the other in nutrition. Most personal trainers hold a certificate. You won't be disappointed.

I feel very fortunate to have Gregory as my personal trainer! From the start I knew I would benefit from his vast knowledge and experience in the profession, and felt confident that he would provide the personal approach and guidance I required. As a 65-year old woman who had not been following a fitness regimen for some time, I didn’t really know where to start to work toward my goals in a consistent measurable way. Gregory assessed my overall condition, and then designed a solid and comprehensive -- yet easy to follow -- flexible program that is tailored to my needs. It is based on the most current researched methods and is manageable, interesting, and fun! I always look forward to our sessions! Additionally, he is patient and works with my limitations to make certain that the techniques are accurate so that I avoid any injuries. Between sessions he maintains regular contact via texts in order to encourage me, and to keep me motivated and on track. Even in a short time I can already see improvements and doubt I would have achieved these results without his assistance! Carolyn is wonderful! She customizes your workouts to you. I have seen what a client before me and after me has done and we don't do the same thing. She is not also a great personal trainer, but also a great wellness & life coach.

Last summer I decided I was ready to look into exercise assist type options - gym, personal trainer, classes, etc. During my search, I came across Keleigh at Balanced Strength. I liked the idea of being able to work out in a home-based setting, and she had excellent reviews, so I emailed her. She was prompt in her reply and very courteous. I met with Keleigh the following week and I learned just how challenging Pilates is. But I liked it enough to go back . Keleigh creates challenging workouts, but she's also very good at making sure you rest when you need to. And if something doesn't feel right during any part of the workout, she's good at making instant modifications to avoid injury. Keleigh is also good about changing things up. Minus a few scheduling conflicts, I've seen her weekly for 6 months now and have only repeated a couple of exercises that I can remember. We have also incorporated a few HIIT workouts and even a hybrid of HIIT with Pilates. I have struggled with liking exercise my entire life, but I actually look forward to my weekly sessions with Keleigh. I highly recommend her!
The best trainer in Scottsdale, period. Dolores is an extraordinary trainer and fitness coach. I highly recommend the STARTUP program. Not only do you get a feel for Dolores' expertise and capabilities, she provides a comprehensive assessment of your physical strength, cardio-fitness, and flexibility. The assessment also serves as a benchmark to measure your results from Day 1. I saw quick gains in my strength, stamina, flexibility and more importantly, I lost fat in my mid-section. Plus, she really knows her nutrition and she's so nice! Tough, but nice.
We love our trainer McKenzie. She has never been late, always comes prepared and gives us a great workout. She also meal preps for us, delicious healthy paleo meals. 😊
I just got started with Dane. I have had several trainers before, and I like the in-home training, because of my time and business constraints. Saving that driving time to go to a gym is helpful to me. He has been excellent - more volume than I had before, more variation in the workouts, and he has an intense attention to my technique - not letting me do it wrong or cheat. He wants me doing it correctly to get the maximium benefit and the maximum safety. He has been very personable and attentive to my needs, and I am highly impressed. Plus I am already seeing benefits. I should also mention that he has emphasized and given me a lot of dietary input as well, and he has enlightened me on some mistakes I was making with my diet, so I am impressed that this is moving forward on a lot of different fronts. I would highly recommend him and I feel very fortunate and lucky to have found him. He is very passionate about training, and this definitely shows. You will not be disappointed.
I loved working out with Brian Espinoza! Made my workouts feel like no workout at all. Always pushing me and motivating me to do more and surpassing my goals. Also, I love the clean and professional environment. There is a variety of equipment available to work with and all is in an excellent working condition. Highly recommend Brian and all the Personal Trainers at that facility. They are all super nice and friendly to everyone not just their clients. Wonderful experience over all.
I think one of my favorite parts of working with Gage is how much he honors the body. Not just in the expected sense of 'I'm a personal trainer, let's get swole' but in the sense of our body being our vehicle in this lifetime. We are intended to move in these physical forms and Gage supports, facilitates and motivates that movement. Through his honoring of our intended action, coupled with his current knowledge and commitment to constant learning, he creates a nurturing but disciplined experience. He inclusion of breathwork, restorative yogic postures and availability of bodywork provides a broad platform of service that has helped me break through limiting beliefs about my true strength. Liz Brooks is truly an amazing personal trainer! She works with me as a whole person; physically, mentally, and emotionally. Marcus is an amazing trainer. No matter your fitness level. I enjoy his tentativeness and how he assists in perfecting your form. I was in a car accident in 2015 and was told I wouldn’t walk properly again. Not only did I make a full recovery but Marcus holds me accountable and helps me get stronger on every session! Patrick Thomas has been my Personal Trainer for 2+ years. Patrick took me from post-physical therapy for cervical radiculopathy to a fitness level I now feel comfortable with.
