Michele Chater is a wonderful teacher. She is teaching my five year old and has been for almost a year. She is patient with her young students but teaches all ages... Her students always seem excited to be there... She teaches at the students pace for a more personal lesson, but at the same time runs her business in a professional way and holds respect for her clientele... We love going to Michele and will continue our lessons for as long as we can.
Bobbi is my voice coach. I can't read music and wanted to learn to sing better so I went to her. She is a wonderful teacher, so patient and knowledgable! I'm learning how to use my voice as an instrument and how to use it correctly so I won't hurt it. I would recommend Bobbi to anyone!
Ron is an amazing teacher in so many ways. He goes at the right pace for you and teaches you everything you need to know about each lesson you are learning. He is great with all types of people and all ages. He makes his lessons fun and exciting. I always come ready to learn something new. Its great how skilled he is on the piano and with his voice. It really makes you look up to him. I look up to Ron. He has a kind heart and soul. If your wanting to learn how to play the piano, id say Ron is the guy to teach you!.
I got more out of my first lesson with Mary than I did in 3 weeks of lessons with another teacher. She has a simple way of explaining things which makes them easy to understand.
My daughter enjoys visiting Susan for lessons. In observing her progress, I am pleased with the results in a short amount of time. She is starting from the very beginning. I was happy with Susan's experience and the books she is using.
Ms. Coleman has taught my daughter art for many years with fantastic results! They get along so well my daughter even wanted to try some guitar and general music lessons with Ms. Coleman. She is knowledgeable, reliable and great with her students. I would recommend her without hesitation.
Before our son began guitar lessons with Jeff, he got very good, competent lessons from other private instructors as well as those affiliated with the very impressive ASU music department. But Jeff’s individualized approach has been decidedly different. Recognizing that our 10 year old has areas of music that motivate him to stay excited and engaged, he always keeps the fun parts as the backbone of the learning process. This past weekend, he eagerly and proudly showed me the importance of knowing a variety of scales (major, minor, mixolydian, pentatonic, blues, etc.) and how he can use them to create music of his own. Talk about impressive! We can’t recommend Jeff more highly!
After the first try-out lesson, the very first thing I asked my 13-year old son about John Miller, as a guitar teacher, and his approach to teaching was, "How do you like him?". My son's answer was an exuberant, "I like him. He's cool!". Let me expound a little bit on that. My son plays the piano and a little bit of string bass so he has intermediate knowledge of music, in general. As a guitar student, he is a complete beginner. After a couple more lessons, he often comes out of John's studio looking at ease, not compelled. In my mind, that told me we made a very good choice for a guitar teacher in John. On a parent perspective, 25 miles of driving to his studio is not the best option considering I also had to deal with the 5pm-rush hour traffic. The good nature in John still managed to be very "accommodating". Eventually, we agreed move back the schedule a half-hour later to relax the concern a little bit. What needs to be said about John Miller, the guitar teacher? Five Stars (*****), what else!
I came to see her for voice lessons and was blown away by both her knowledge and skill. Well worth the price and effort.
My son took to Ryan immediately, he's patient and a great teacher!! Looking forward to many more lessons
I recently started taking lessons from Thomas, but have really enjoyed our time so far. He's very patient with me as a beginner and great at instructing.
Mary Wagner has changed my life. You have probably seen thousands of posts like this but this is true. I tried to learn piano when I was six and for four years it never worked and I quit until I turned seventeen. Within two lessons with Mary, I learned ten times more than I ever did in those four years. No, I wasn't Mozart or Bach, but I had gained a foundation not only in piano but in musicianship as a whole. Now, it's been six months and I'm soaring in my musicianship. Mary has taught me so much about music but I've also learned so much life experience from such a lovely woman. She's helped me prep for college and because I'm doing the same program she taught at Scottsdale Community College, I'm getting college credit for something I love. She has given me the tools for piano and life. She has changed me for the better. Whether you're looking for that or not is up to you but I can guarantee you will become a better musician in a month with her than a year with anyone else. She is my hero and I look to her for anything and everything, especially for piano. Trust me, she is worth your time and effort.
I have had guitar lessons from Reggie Chavez now for over four years. I started with Reggie without any knowledge or previous training on guitar at the age of 58 . Reggie has literally opened a new door to me to the wonderful experience of the playing a musical instrument. I have learned the fundamentals and then learned how to play songs. Reggie has inspired me to play live with other guitarists confidently. Best of all, Reggie instructs in a way that is relaxed, and gives me constructive feedback in a reassuring way, never harsh or in a way I feel bad. He is the best !
This service is great - I used to wait in my car trolling Facebook while my son had his piano lesson at his old studio. Now I get an hour and a half back every week while he works and I don't have to drive. Highly recommend Traveling Music Lessons. So much better than before.
We have really enjoyed the convenience and flexibility with our teacher. Our son looks forward to his weekly lessons and we overhear the teachers discussions with him. We feel like he is getting a high-rated education and not just mundane lessons. Blooming Cactus has also worked with our always changing schedule due to after school activities and we really appreciate that.
Dr. Jeff has helped bring music back in my life. I have always wanted to learn how to play the piano and had been trying to teach myself because of my past experience (played trumpet from elementary school 2 yrs of collage). Learning that way was not ideal though and I was really not progressing at all. I finally decided to start lessons and I cant tell how grateful I am that I did. Dr. Jeff has helped me learn and practice correctly and I really feel that I am progressing well. I am having so much fun learning and playing. Thanks Dr Jeff!
Ana is wonderful. I am a doctor learning Spanish for my work with immigration patients. She is always on time, professional, and friendly. She is clearly an experienced teacher as exhibited through her patient and supportive approach. She is able to assist with both informal conversational Spanish, as well as professional spoken and written Spanish. In addition to her proficiency with Spanish language, she can integrate cultural issues into the lessons as requested. Her rates are reasonable, and she is flexible with her time when needed.
Michele is an excellent piano teacher. I chose her because from the start it was clear that she is passionate about music and the piano and sharing that joy. I am in my early thirties with little acquaintance with the piano prior to starting with Michele. Despite the difficulties of starting at a relatively old age, she has been very patient with me yet structured in her lessons, always with a clear path forward for me to progress in my skills. She is very easy to work with and I hope to continue to grow with her help for a long time to come. I recommend her to anyone who has always wanted to learn the piano and is looking for a professional and engaging teacher.
The first thing that stood out was his response time, it was fast! He is extremely knowledgeable and explains the material in different ways if needed. Gears lessons towards once interest. Would definitely recommend!
I’ve known Sara since I was 6 or 7, and she taught me piano lessons for a little over 4 years. I couldn’t possibly give any higher review of her. She has an excellent work ethic, and instilled “practice makes perfect” into my learning habits. I absolutely adore her. She is genuine, sincere, hardworking, and talented. She was an amazing teacher who never let me slack off, because she knew my potential. I have never learned more from any other musical instructor, as she was an outstanding teacher, and now a wonderful friend. I highly recommend her, as any student would be LUCKY to have her as an instructor.
I took voice lessons from Lacy because of the need for my job as a music director at church. I am a pianist, so I didn’t have the need for basic music theory but strong understanding of vocal techniques for the purpose of singing without straining my voice, which was the reason I never sang, and also teaching my choir members. Lacy has been very patient and extremely helpful in making me understand the vocal techniques. Less than a year of taking lessons from her without any previous training from anybody else, I pass the audition for the Phoenix Symphony Chorus. I highly recommend Lacy if you want solid and right technique from the get go as well as artistry.
