Katherine is awesome. I've only been taking lessons with her for about 2 months and I think I've gotten reasonably good in that short amount of time. I've already more or less learned how to play one of my favorite songs (it's still in progress but coming along). I've learned a ton from her. She really helps you improve your technique and make each piece your own. My ability to read music is getting a lot better. It's still not great but way better than it was two months ago. She's very easy to work with. She's patient and attentive. Also, she, herself, is a phenomenal pianist. She plays the pieces I'm working on for me so I can hear them and it's always beautiful. She also posts videos to YouTube of her playing songs that her students are learning and it's been very helpful. I've always wanted to learn to play piano, but my decision to hire an instructor was kind of out of nowhere, but I have absolutely no regrets about hiring Katherine. I would fully recommend her to anyone who wants to learn to play piano.Mar 22, 2016Verified
A very talented teacher, that I feel very comfortable with. It is a pleasure to be her student and I am so grateful that I choose her.Oct 26, 2015Verified
Katherine is teaching my 5 and 7 year old to play the piano. The 5 year old we agreed that he is too little but the 7 year old is doing great and catching on quickly. Katherine is very patient and kind!Sep 15, 2015Verified

Katherine is a true music professional. She immediately assessed my skills and level of musicianship, and provided the appropriate level of instruction. She is an excellent teacher and listener, and has kept a focus on what I need to work on after each lesson, which has helped guide me on my objectives as a piano student. Initially I was somewhat concerned as I chose a teacher who was not in a close proximity to where I work and live; but it turns out, I am fortunate to have her as a piano and music instructor. I will certainly retain her as I continue to improve. Katherine Kononova is excellent, and I would highly recommend her. Alfred GallegosDec 30, 2014Verified
