Have been taking clarinet and alto sax lessons with Andrew for years. Great teacher who is a master of his craft and is very dedicated to the progression of his students. Takes the time necessary to really help you learn and perfect all areas. He is very skilled in both jazz and classical and can really help his student develop in whichever way they desire. Would highly recommend to anyone who is serious about learning their instrument.

Andrew is fantastic. He has been giving private lessons on the alto saxophone to my 4th grade son for the past year... and is a solid dude. He can start from square one with your student and get them learning right away. He challenges his students to improve and lets them know what is holding them back. He is authentic and accountable and hardworking.

My son and his classmate took saxophone lessons with Andrew to be ready for Fall Band in 5th grade. He is straight forward and they learned fast from him. I highly recommend him.

My daughter was having difficulty with piano lessons and decided to try the flute in sixth grade instead. Ms. Vargas was recommended to us and fulfilled all our expectations. She helped my daughter get over her conviction that she was unable to read music and inspired her to continue with her flute lessons until she graduated from high school. She made sure all her students had the traditional recitals to polish their work, but also made the time for those interested to play at coffee houses and other venues at Christmas time. She supported them in school competitions and customized her teaching to the students interests as well as needs. Although my daughter is now 24, she still plays her flute at times and has added the guitar.

I have taken bass lessons from a handful of instructors over the years. Ariane is different. She has explained things to me that I have either never heard or never understood in new ways that help me to connect the dots. She makes the lessons fun and always challenges me and encourages me to stretch myself while giving me to the tools to do so. Do not hesitate to give hear a test drive.

Ariane is rare combination of a great player as well as a great teacher. She has mastery of a variety of styles, and can teach you what you want to learn. She organizes jam sessions with other musicians, and although I've never participated myself, this is a great service for jazz musicians look for people to play with.

Studying the bass with Ariane is fun! She meets you at your level, and gets you playing music right away. She applies the study of theory to songs to give it real life meaning, and makes it fun and relevant. Fantastic teacher all around.

Emily Sapa is the perfect flute teacher for my daughter. We began working with her in the summer when we hadn't rented an instrument or even committed to playing flute. From the start, Emily's patience and calm won us over. She has an amazing way of gently encouraging my kid to work hard - she really want to impress Emily at weekly lessons. She is really good at teaching and plans each lesson carefully tailoring it to my kid. She uses stickers and worksheets as incentives, but the most wonderful thing is that my kid is learning to love her instrument.

We couldn't be happier with Emily. She teaches my 7 year old daughter flute with patience, kindness and lots of fun. My daughter is making great progress and has come to love playing and practicing and no longer needs constant reminders. She even told me that her lessons with Emily are like a play date to her.

John has been tutoring the saxophone to my mid-schooler for the last year. During that time, I've found him to be very patient, personable, and respectful. Our son continues to enjoy music class in school (while some of his peers have stopped playing) and has shown progression is his ability to play pieces that require higher skill.

Christina is a wonderful teacher! Any time I thought I was losing ground, she would listen and watch me play and make a couple of adjustments/suggestions to my technique and then it was better again. I once told her that I just needed her standing there watching me the whole time! She's extremely encouraging and very adaptable to different student's needs. Any time I was sure I should just give it up, she seemed to be able to sense it and was even more supportive of my efforts. She always knew just when to remind me of the gains I had made. I loved her as a teachr and am very happy to have had a chance to have been her student.

Christina was always prompt for lessons in our home. Her positive feedback & constructive criticism was encouraging for my 11 year old daughter. I felt her pricing to be fair & she offered make up classes if we had to cancel with ample notice.

Mindia has been a performing musician teaching flute, general and world music in the schools for many years. I am a violin student studying the Suzuki method and Mindia has taught me a great deal about music and improvisation for any instrument. She is patient, kind and deeply wonderful and passionate about music. She has tremendous expertise with flute, both the western classical silver flute and the Indian bamboo flute called bansuri. She is especially creative and humanistic in the way she teaches.
