I started working out with OJ towards the beginning of January- I had lead a sedentary lifestyle for a long time and felt kinda lost on where to begin. So far I've lost 14lbs, feel stronger, and feel more confident and capable while working out. I feel like he is a great choice for anyone started from a place of low fitness or obesity. PROS -it's private. I always felt very self-conscious working out in the big commercial gyms with tons of people around. There have never been more than 2 other clients (of his partner) during my sessions and often there is no one else. I can focus 100% on form and effort rather than getting caught up in how ridiculous, red-faced etc I must look -attention & assistance even outside of sessions. He's always quick to reply to texts whether its scheduling, nutritional questions, or asking for a routine to do. He's also been very accommodating when I've had to cancel or reschedule. -Limits! I feel he is so good in this department. I always leave a session feeling like I've been pushed to the very edge of my limits but not past- the only 2 times I went to far was due to stuff on my end that I hadn't mentioned (sick/hadn't eaten). He doesn't let me quit when I have to pause but can keeping going overall and he'll call me on it when he knows I can push harder, go faster etc, but he'll adjust the exercise if he sees I'm truly approaching the edge of my capabilities. And he's never misjudged which is which so far. Similarly, I can't get away with slacking on form due to fatigue or inattention but I'm not pushed to have form that I'm just not capable of yet (ex. pushups) This has probably been the biggest thing that keeps me coming back-I've had trainers who wanted more than I'm physically capable of, or pushed me to the point of failure which is very discouraging. -Each session is different and varied- I don't get bored. Also if I ask for a particular exercise he's always been willing to add it to the next session which is nice. -Sincere praise. When he tells me I'm doing a good job I know I actually have! That's way more encouraging than liberal amounts of undeserved praise CONS -The only con/downside is that I was initially looking to focus on lifting- reviewing moves, making sure my form was good, and developing a routine or 2 I could use at my regular gym. But I was also only planning to do a month of training and I'm at 2.5 now, and more than fulfilling my larger goal of general weightloss/fitness! So obviously it's a very minor complaint.
I have had trainers before. However, never one like Megan, who cares beyond the workout. Her overall wellness lifestyle is motivating and inspirational. Her classes are filled with support and drive. I like that she is not a pushover or a Drill Sargent. Most of all she knows her stuff. She is always reading and learning, adding more credentials to her resume...and keep classes fresh and different. What she has created is a community of wellness with her blog, videos, and app. I would recommend Megan to anyone who wants to make a positive change in their life.
I love working with Kevin, he pushes me just enough and listens when I'm uncomfortable, he offers solutions to get past limitations and provided me with a nutrition plan I love. I've had other trainers who didnt know what to do with nutrition or physical limitatuons of a couch potatoe. It's important to me that he is highly reliable, if he cannot meet me I can work with another great trainer. All the staff is friendly and the equipment is in good condition. I recommend Kevin.
Ted is extremely knowledgable about bodybuilding, the human body, and everything to do with bodybuilding competitions. I met him in the audience of a bodybuilding competition. I could tell that he really knew his stuff. He's been studying bodybuilding for 35 years now, that is rare to find in a trainer!! I could not believe how in shape and muscular he was when he told me his age. I thought to myself, "wow, he must be doing something right". He agreed to train me and I learned much more than I'd ever known about weightlifting and the workings of the muscles in the body. I will always be grateful for this knowledge, and I saw incredible results! I feel that I am stronger today than I've ever been and I owe this to Ted's guidance. His services are very reasonably priced, and he truly cares about you becoming your best self, he is also compassionate and trustworthy. He will help you grow and progress but he will not risk injury while doing it. He's very cautious and does not believe in pushing the body until it breaks, but rather, will show you the most efficient and smartest ways to reach your goals. He's a gem!

Hands down Jobi Morrison is the BEST personal trainer! I have been training with Jobi for 5 years. I'm the strongest I have ever been! My workouts are never boring. I always look forward to see how he will challenge me with cardio, strength and balance and I am never disappointed! Jobi always takes the time to listen to my questions about fitness and nutrition and always provides sound advice. I have trained with Paul Harvey for 5+ years. I have been working with various trainers for 15 years total, and had never found one who understood my goals and knew how to achieve them. When I started with Paul I was 178 lbs. At 6'4" tall, that was very skinny. My goal was to put on lean muscle. I've added about 30lbs of lean muscle and have a six pack. Paul advises me on how to achieve my goals both inside the gym and at home. He is a smart guy and can carry on a conversation about more than just working-out. He makes me laugh and we have lively debates about current events. Even when I take the skills I've learned from him to my own solo workouts, I still never sweat as much as I do when I work out with Paul. He is a great motivator.
I trained with almost all of his trainers - Corey, Rachel, Jeanne, and Kevin. Every one of his trainers are great! Each trainer has a slightly different approach, all of which are awesome (even though I was sore after almost every session haha). Thank you LaPere Fitness for kicking my butt!

I tried for many years to get rid of my cellulite around my hips, stomach and thighs. I hired other fitness trainers that were unable to help me. I've had a wonderful experience training with Rochelle over the past three months. In this short time the results I've seen following her training and diet plan have transformed me into a healthier, happier and more confident person. I've tried a few different personal trainers at big gyms over the years, but none as great as Steve. He pushes you hard and motivates you in a positive way. He's a great conversationalist and every workout is different so it's never boring. Steve is knowledgeable about everything fitness related and customizes his plan for you -- even working through your diet and nutrition. One of the most important things that Steve does is always watches form to maximize results and prevent injury.
I definitely liked this place gunna go back! No gym crowdness which is what I liked a lot and trainer knew what he is doing had an experience before that the trainer didn't really know what he was doing
Goat Fitness has it all. I went to goat Fitness looking to get stronger, leaner and faster. Trainer Jon helped me with my nutrition and guided me through strength training and powerlifting to accomplish my goal and help me find my new passion. Haley is focused on helping me achieve my goals and makes every session challenging (& somehow fun). My fitness is increasing and I’ve seen improvements in my ability to box, complete more sit ups / core exercises, Haley pushes me harder throughout each session. I find I actually look forward to my workouts. I must be a glutton for punishment. Importantly: Haley ensures that my technique is always correct to avoid any injuries. She is extremely reliable & punctual – always set up & ready to start training ahead of time, with an exercise routine planned. I thoroughly enjoy working out in the outdoor environment, and would recommend Haley to anyone looking to improve their fitness with a dedicated trainer. Haley is the one!
Andrew is an awesome trainer to work with. He's very attentive to what needs to be done based on your concerns and wants. Love that he motivates me and am always looking forward to my next session with him. I highly recommend him.
Corey is such an amazing trainer!! He customizes the training to fit your needs and what you like so that you can enjoy working out. He's very friendly and always cracking jokes, yet very serious when it comes to the safety and how to get it done right. His priority is his clients, so you won't be seeing him on his phone while training, and that's very nice to know. If you're reading this comment, I assume you're looking for a trainer. Do it!! I got stronger, leaner, and feel great about myself!
Dan is a very knowledgeable and experienced trainer. I trained with Dan for 11 years before he moved away and I’m happy to have the opportunity to workout with him again. Obviously I’m a dedicated fan of his workout protocol! I highly recommend him!
I had been planning to lose weight for a long time, but had never commited to it. When I moved to Irvine, and met Lamar, I was reluctant to start working with a trainer, but decided to do it. Now, after 4 months, I would say one of the best things about my time in Irvine has been working with Lamar. I had lost weight as an adult before, but always by doing very long sessions of cardio, combined with a very restrictive diet. Now, working with Lamar, this is the first time in my life I have been able to lose weight while eating normal food, at normal times, in reasonable portions. This is also the first time in my life I have been able to do strength training, which has resulted in more effective workouts, in a shorter time, and which I think has significantly improved how I feel. My progress under Lamar has been very gradual, and I sometimes have bad days, and even bad weeks. But the progressive improvement has kept adding up, and over the course of 4 months, I have lost at least 20-25 pounds. When I look back, I am surprised at how big the change has been. If you want to improve your health and fitness, or lose weight, I highly recommend working with Lamar.
Reign Athletics & Self Made Training Facility have completely changed my expectations having a personal trainer. I have had trainers at Eos fitness & L.A. fitness and I will never go back to either places or any local gyms for that matter. As a MMA fighter I need to keep my body fat percentage down while keeping my muscle but most importantly staying around 185lbs so I don't die during weight cutts. Brittany has improved every aspect I need as a fighter inside and outside the gym. I never realized how much a science there is in fitness until I started training with her at Self Made. Self Made has top of the line equipment an amazing atmosphere of great people! It's is a Family I'm blessed to have the opportunity to train at and be apart of! When I first started with Brittany I was around 22-24% body fat and in so much need for conditioning and Muscle endurance! My first fight I was completely gased out by the first round that was before starting with Reign Athletics @SelfMadetrainingfacility within a month I had my second fight and I was day and night better!! It was crazy. I can't wait to get back in the ring with the confidence these great people have instilled in me! Thank you Brittany & Self Made!!
