Pete came to help a first time dog trainer (myself) with my new rescue dog. Just as he says is needed for success he was calm cool collected. He gave a lot of ritual information to help with the relationship of me and the dog. She already does better on walks (yes same day) with using the prong collar. We worked with her on place and the same day she is using the spot to relax which has made her less anxious! Very knowledgable and is straightforward on how to train your dog and most importantly yourself! We are key to our dogs success.
Courtney is an excellent dog trainer. Our puppy and we have learned so much from her - she focuses on great modeling and positive reinforcement and her enthusiasm and professionalism are ever present. I have recommended Courtney to others and will continue to do so. She is excellent.
After years of my miniature Australian shepherd pulling on the leash and generally being unruly on walks, Kevin was able to show me how to walk him on a slack leash in 2 sessions. I never thought my hyper-mini could behave so well on walks, but already mid-course through his 8 session package I am seeing great results. I highly recommend Kevin to anyone searching for a Sacramento dog trainer.
Les is fantastic! He is truly dedicated and passionate about the services he provides. Not only is he a great trainer and dog walker companion, his pet delivery service is perfect for anyone in need of a drop off or pick up that just doesn't work in your schedule. I highly recommend giving him a shot, you will NOT be disappointed!
Logan is very professional you can tell he loves animals his work quality is awesome my dog is now a happier dog and I must admit so am . his teaching techniques are so easy to follow he truly is worth it I am extremely happy with him Thank you Jane S
My Newfypoo pup Jelly Bean is a handful, especially considering I have never had a dog before. I was fortunate enough to stumble on John Vinton's site, after being dropouts from Sirius group puppy training. His technique is unique as he does not advocate stuffing the dog with never ending treats. Instead, consistent reinforcement of commands accompanied with appropriate overwhelming praise when deserved. We're only 3 lessons in. I am so proud of my Bean, especially when compared to other dogs we meet on our walks. We both still have a lot to learn and with the help of "A Better Dog Trainer" I know we'll be successful.
George is amazing! A very dedicated trainer who knows what he's doing. I hired George to board and train my pit mix who has aggression issues with other dogs as well as having horrible leash manners. George came to my home, assessed my dog free of charge, and was able to give me a plan of what can be done in the week and a half that we were on vacation. While away, he was quick to answer all of my worried questions and provide videos of the activities they were doing. George is not the first trainer that I've left my dog with while away. Although the last trainers were nice and professional, my dog was still dog aggressive and was still pulling on a leash. And we left her with them a lot longer. As well as did a couple training sessions with them. George was able to teach her leash manners, as well as not mind other dogs when we go on walks. I haven't enjoyed walking my dog since she was a puppy! Her manners completely changed when he brought her back. She's now a joy to walk. He was nice enough to give my husband and I a crash course on how to keep up with her training. He didn't push us to buy a training package or anything. He just assured us that if we have any questions or concerns, to let him know. We've kept in touch even after her board and train. That says a lot about a trainer who cares enough to take time out of his busy day to make sure all the training is still going ok. Thank you for all you did for my Milan!
Susan is a truly wonderful dog trainer! She is incredibly knowledgeable and thinks of things from the dog's perspective. She is very patient (both with us and our pup) and has tons of great insights and ideas. She is really dedicated to helping us create a great relationship with our pup, and I highly recommend her!
Rusty at Pawgress dog training has been an absolutely amazing trainer for our reactive cattle dog/ border collie mix. He has really given us so much information and shined light on some new techniques and strategies! We have found it so useful to have our dog practice with his dogs and we love the feedback and guidance! His PDFs have helped us to be able to practice and apply at home in between trainings as well! We can’t thank Rusty enough for the work this far! We look forward to training every week as we see our dog (and us!) make strides!
Didi is a very knowledgeable dog trainer. She is patient, focused and explains in detail the methods she uses and the reasons therefore. She also provides written instructions to assist your recall of the training methods she uses. My dog is responding very favorably.
Gary was more than punctual considering he drive from out of town. He is a master of what he does -- if I may call him a "dog whisperer", it would be most appropriate. Instantly, he commanded & controlled my 3 dogs. One of the dogs that is normally skittish stayed in the room and one of the dogs that usually barks at strangers seemed "at home" with Gary right away. In just 1 session, I had better controls of my 3 dogs. Feeding time is not a chaotic and noisy as it normally is. I felt my stress subsided quite a bit in just 1 session. I so appreciate the top notch service that Gary provided. I am so grateful and will use him again in the future. In addition, I will recommend him every time the opportunity presents itself.
Emily is one of the most passionate and knowledgeable dog trainers I have ever met. I contracted her when I adopted a rescue with severe separation anxiety and who never had any formal training. Within 6 weeks my pup mastered basic commands, and we were well on our way to overcoming his separation anxiety. I would recommend Emily without hesitation to anyone looking for expert help!
Emily was amazing with Winston! I couldn't have asked for a better trainer for my puppy! In the 4 weeks of training he became a much more obedient and well mannered little pup. I am more than confident to recommend Emily and her training camp to whom ever needs an efficient and responsible trainer.
great dog trainer!
Cannot find a more knowledgeable or caring dog trainer than Tricia. I took my Scottie and Min Pin to classes with Tricia for years until I moved out of the area. When I went out of town I would leave my dogs with Tricia to care for them, they loved her and her dog Zeus to death! The move made me appreciate her even more. Everyone comments on how well behaved my dogs are and I always attribute it to the best dog trainer in the country.
Mary is a wonderful and conscience dog care walker and sitter. My young boxer mix jumps up and down when he sees Mary come near - and dogs know who the can trust and love. Mary even has her Dad pick up rawhides for my dog Cooper when she see I am low! Please know that when you are away, Mary has your dog WELL cared for.
Stella not only watched my puppy but trained him this past week! She has saved my life with the potty training and it only took her a few days!!! She is very knowledgeable when it comes to puppies. Everything went smoothly! I was so happy to get updates and pictures of him everyday. I'll be using her again for sure.
Simply put Koru K9 is awesome. I've made 3 behavior change sessions in the course of 1.5 months and puppy is way way better. She used to be a very nervous dog, afraid of everything and anything. Now she is calm, relaxed, walk beautifully by our side, doesn't bark to other dogs walking around. She still has lots to learn and training is an ongoing process, Koru K9 will teach you how to make your dog a better dog, they are great!
We have a black lab who we got when he was 7 weeks old. When we got him, we were told that he had a mellow personality and that he would be calm. This was not true. Our puppy was a handful, high energy, and out of control. We tried classes, and a trainer, and things did not improve. We found Juniper, and she turned the situation around. She is excellent with dogs and puppies. She was able to provide the right training for our dog, which included positive reinforcement, and proper exercise and diet. Juniper also gave us a lot of pointers about how to interact with our dog. One of our challenges was that our dog had no attention span. Juniper taught us how to do mental training exercises with our dog that enabled him to increase his attention span. And he really enjoyed these too. Theo is still a high energy dog, but he is also obedient and fun to be around. Juniper found a dog park nearby, and we take him every week for a vigorous game of fetch, which he loves. We now live in the house in a more harmonious way and we are very grateful. It took a lot of human and dog social skills to transform our complicated situation into something that works. Juniper has what it takes to understand both your dog and you.
